LMFAO..... you could do a little introspection, friend..... you are STARTING with a big mess, to begin with ! Not sure whether to cringe or chuckle, reading your ambitious rigging.
And what in world speed are you trolling that would bring a 3lb downrigger ball to the surface ? This is highly entertaining, to be sure, thanks !

Obviously you have never trolled at 2.5 mph 110 down.

I use the Scotty Lake Troll on my Sea Eagle Explorer 420 and on my 15 ft Smoker Craft.. 3 lb. Weight for Kokanee and rainbow.. they are great..

How deep are you going. On Lake Ontario we catch fish down to 110 ft 3 lb weight would be jumping out of the water behind the boat with a big mess. We run 4 down riggers

You would be surprised how far back your downrigger will run at 60 feet even at 2 mph.

Yes blow back is a problem the deeper you go plus underwater currents. I just bought a 15lb downrigger mold to make my own. All depends on conditions.

Humbling yourself and asking can work. Since I stopped arguing with cops, admitted I was wrong, apologized and asked if they could help me at all I’ve gotten a lot of breaks and a lot fewer tickets.

I said I was sorry didn’t want to call his brother on Sunday we’ll see how it works out

[quote=saw1]Dang brother. Too bad you couldn't explain that you knew his brother and somehow become friends with the new owner and even offered to share any fish you caught.
Years ago I was fishin the South Fork of the American River north of Placerville Ca.
As I was in this one spot this fella comes up on me and starts tellin me that he owns the property and that I was trespassing. That I have no right to be there and that he lived in the house right up there and could see if people were on his property without his permission.
Told me I could fish there today but don't come back.
Well, I apologized and explained that I had just been walkin along the river and didn't realize I was on private property right there.
Well, I finished fishin after a little while and drove up to the mans house. I got out of the truck and went up to the door and ask him if he would like to have the fish I caught today.
He couldn't believe that I would take the time to come give him some fish.
Again I apologized for trespassing and said I would have ask if I knew the owner lived up here and I was on his property.
The man said he use to fish it all the time but he wasn't able to fish anymore. He told me I was welcome to come back anytime I wanted to.
I made several trips back there and I ALWAYS took him a limit of fish when I was done.
It was over an hour drive to get there and I eventually stopped goin there cause I could catch plenty of fish a lot closer to home.
I did miss goin by the old man's B
I was corgil and said I was sorry it was Sunday so I didn’t want to call his brother but I will. Hopefully he’ll let me he knows who I am. Well see!!

Big bobber with a big golden shiner 20 inches below. Cast it out and do you pan fishing. Keep a eye on the bobber and keep fishing.

I rarely target Pike, but catch them by accident. I've caught them on wacky worms, senkos, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, ned rigs, and poppers. On the finesse baits you often get bit off,due to small hooks and light line.
