Fishing in Santa Clara county is pretty tough especially this time of year. I would suggest San Luis Reservoir for stripers or the forebay for strippers, bass and catfish.
Late fall and winter is good at Del Valle and Los Vaqueros near Livermore.
Ocean fishing isn’t that far away at Half Moon Bay and Monterey. Hope this helps.

Thanks for sharing and agreeing that everyone is entitled to their opinion. First of all COVID-19 is a vascular disease which attacks your circulatory system. Those two deaths you referred to had a high probability of being COVID-19 related. My aunt died from it and the relatives and friends of the 180,000+ who have died from it will certainly disagree with your perspective. Not wearing a mask when around others is selfish. When you are by yourself at home watching Fox News feel free to go mask free.

I have had luck using a plastic water filled float. Carefully fill with water so that it barely sinks. The idea is to make the float sit on top of the weeds rather than sink through them. Good luck.

I have only fished it once but was told to troll above the underwater river bed. You will need a fish finder to follow it as the lake is too big to reliably follow it by the lake map. Good luck.

Yes, I have. Using flies behind a bubble works better for me while drifting in a boat or
In a wind protected cove.

I was there three weeks ago and caught my PB rainbow, I didn't weigh it, but it was probably up around 8 pounds. Nic fish. Do a search of my post "the old man and the fish" if you want to see a picture of it. How far out were you casting that bobber? And where are you located TROLL? You should go back into your profile and update your location - there are a great group of people on here and it makes it easier to connect you with folks and them with you.

I was fishing near the dam. Wind wasn’t too bad so I was able to cast out about 30 yards. Thanks for the tip, I did update my location.

I was there two weeks ago. First day I was skunked but started catching on day two and three when I switched from bottom fishing to a weighted bobber with a 4-5 foot leader. Caught some nice ones with night crawlers and power bait (used a split shot above the power bait to sink it).
