Went out for a while last night, caught 5 and lost 4 still can't get a good hook set cause of the neck. It was HOT out and the fish were in 20 to 25 ft of water off the end of points. There were fish off every point I stopped just had to fish deep for em. NO Armadillos last night, maybe I've killed most of them close to me.

I had the semi with the tube.
A friend of oldest girl has one. I tried to buy it from her but she won't sell.
It was her dad's.
I also have a marlin bolt action n a Roger 10/22 with the rotary mag.
Luv my 22's brother 👍

I have several others but my favorite is my dads old remington 16 gage double barrel shot gun. When I was 12 I shot and won my first turkey shoot with that shotgun.

I like mine. It's heavy but accurate 👍

They are heavy for sure but they hit where you aim.

Do you have a marlin?
I had one for many yrs. Finally traded it for a 22cal pistol.
Marlins was very accurate 👍

I've got an old lever action Marlin that's a sweet shooting rifle but I've been using my Remington semiautomatic to shoot these guys, it's got a light gathering scope that makes it a little easier to see the target.

My Benjamin 22 cal.pellet rifle makes a decent pop itself. I've taken out a couple ground hogs with it. 👍

I've got a Benjamin too, it's knocked several squeals out and one rabbit this spring that was eating my Hosta garden.

Have you tried the plastic bottle suppressor yet?

No, my rifle has the shell receiver under the barrel and makes it hard to fit up where I could see through the scope. I think these sub sonic rounds will work, I'm only shooting one shot at a time almost straight down off my deck so maybe no body will mind. If they do I'll ask them to deal with the critters cause I also ordered some of the Scram shown in Gordons post.

Ivey let me know how quite they are.
I get a unwanted intruder now n then 👍

They're not what I'd call quiet but they have more of a pop rather than the crack of a normal .22. I spoke with the guy and he said the subsonic really does a number on a critter. They travel slow enough all the energy of the round is expelled inside the target? I don't know about that but they are a little more quiet and sound more like a fire cracker than a rifle.

The armadillos must be adapting. Dont see them as much around Austin as we did. My brother in southeast Kansas says they have a lot of them now.

I'm not gonna see them as much around here either in a few more nights. Killed another one last night, that's 4 in 5 days. They gotta be thinning out some... I went to the gun shop and got a box of the CCI subsonic hollow points so I'll be waiting tonight.

According to the specialist the first MRI didn't view the area in my neck where the problem is so what the DRs have done so far has been just shooting in the dark, Makes me feel real good about them. This Dr. ordered a Milligram to be done on the 28th. I've had a Milligram and the last on hurt bad but I was fresh out of back surgery. Not looking forward to that but one step in the right direction finding out what's the problem.

Ivey be a tad careful around those armadillos as they are known to carry leprosy. Just FYI….

Yea, we've got a good population of bear in the Smoky Mountains and we'll have one wander thru every now and then here.

Poison them. Silent but deadly

If I knew how I would, since they only eat worms and grubs it's hard to poison them, except lead poisoning. I've cut up Irish Spring all over the yard, got that from someone and they just ate around it, Castor oil didn't work and they just dig up to the live trap but won't go in it. I'll try that Scram and see how it does cause my back yard is getting ridiculous. If not I'll just keep up the high velocity lead poisoning.
