[quote=nutz4fish]Tubo, I belonged to a fish and game club that featured every sort of local/regional "game" imaginable @ it's Game Dinners,...

I had a similar experience. Never discovered anything I liked, other than the "normal" rabbits, venison and squirrels.

tuboshu, thanks for info on St. George River for year round flyfishing. I looked on google earth, it looks like there would be walk in access from Rt 131, to get just below the pond outlet. That looks like a very healthy bass in your picture !

There's another access about a quarter mile downstream from the outlet. There's a small parking area next to the driveway at 551 Appleton Road (my old house). There's a trail that's maintained by the George's River Land Trust that takes you to the river. It's about a 300 ft walk. If you run into anyone from George's River TU, say hello to them for me. They may remember me. Good luck.

How old is too old to go fishing? I hope he has balloon tires.

I'll be 81 in three days, and I'm planning my next outing.

I spotted this on a Portland dock a couple years ago. Not sure if it was deliberate or not.

Power outages are pretty common up on our little mountain in NH. Damn generator kept me awake for a while during this last storm.

thinking you are having some stormy weather over there. at least in the winter if the power goes out you don't have to worry about the stuff in the frig. you can just put it out side on he porch...

True.

The power went off for a couple hours this morning. The upside was, I had the opportunity to practice with some of my survival stuff. I made coffee on a butane hot plate by the light of a rechargeable lantern.

While I was enjoying a hot cup of joe, a branch snapped off a tree and hit the house. Minor damage to the siding, but the roof appears to be ok.

Welcome to winter.

Just a caution, I HAD over $300 in Cabela's points and because I hadn't used their/my credit card for a while, the bank cancelled the card and thus the money in my account and neither Cabelas or the bank would help. I just chalk it up to lesson learned

Good to know. I do my best to use the points as soon as I get a few accumulated. These crept up on me.

Which reminds me, who wears camouflage clothing and won't go out in the daytime?

Cabela Lugosi.
