27 years ago ore somewhere close to this was the first Coors beer tournament. The first year they planted brooders. The smallest fish was 3 pounds up to 10 me and my wife lived at bass lake.for the first few days the fish were not acclimated we fished at the falls for the next month we killed them great time my best 8.7 lbs my wife’s 9.3lbs all tag fish some numbers were wort 10 dollars to 100 dollars we maid 400 hundred dollars in one month we fished 6:30to 9:30 every morning and430 too dark every night at falls there a set of old steps the creak dumps in right there you might have to cast two or three times but pretty soon. It’ll look like your line is going upstream. There is a giant hole underneath that stream my wife had this down to a science because my grandfather showed me nightcrawler tip of salmon eggs 10 foot cast your lion would look like it’s going upstream but you’re in the hole. She caught three fish all over 5 pounds in 30 minutes with these people watching this guy Crowder out pissed her off. And we left came back at our usual time in the afternoon. They had been there all day caught one fish, lost it he was in my wife spot. I could see it on her face. She went down climb. The rail nudged him out of the hole casted one time her line went up. She had a fish within two minutes here I come with the net pissed them off. They had been there all day, not catch nothing. She was rubbing it in so bad tell them they didn’t know how to fish I thought I was going to be in a fistfight. Last quick story about the balls same day we’re walking out with five fish over 5 pounds as we’re walking across the bridge a guy in a Volkswagen went to pass is he looked at the fish and crashed into the bridge PS the bass fishing is probably off the hook up in the spillway. You have to walk it though.

Really sorry I missed this meeting greet. Sounds like you guys had a great time. I’m deathly going to try to be there next year to feed you all some Croppie because Clearlake has the best Croppie fishing around it. What is the campground close enough to the lake to catfish Lexi like you guys sure cuts and toads do sometimes it clearly night fishing can be awesome for Bas. Can’t wait to see y’all next year new to the forum Don10, Northern California.

I was totally amazed at how white the meat is, and no bones once you deep fry it in a big deep fryer, put your own seasoning to it man and enjoy. I was tripped out for years. I threw them up on the bank squawfish in California are plentiful, but they eat like nobody’s business.
