I agree with FF, I think $20/hr is a ridiculous price. I would never pay that. I think $40/hr is much more reasonable. and custom (special) weaves might go for $1,200+. just sayin...

I never figured it by an hourly wage, I would have quit it after the first year or two. I started it when I was 18, and still do a few a year for special friends, nothing more, and only in the Wintertime. I always figured it was a glorified hobby that helped me to support my fishing hobby.

Good morning to all from a very sunny Bermuda, 81* and 84% humidity, with an expected high of 84. First day of real vacation. The flight was comfortable with a long cab ride to the VRBO. Driver is a police sergeant, and did a pretty good commentary going down the road. Figuring out transportation. The public transport here is very good. You just buy a pass and get on and off as needed. Several nice beaches in the area. Fishing is within walking distance. No plans yet. Have a great day all.

Hello! My husband and I are retirees and enjoy fishing! We also enjoy camping at Mayport Naval Base which provides opportunities for fishing off the jetties. We are typically lake fishing in Georgia, but would like to learn more and experience salt water fishing at its finest.

Good morning, Teach, and welcome to the Stage!!! I have heard of teachers of pe, but not rt. So, what are teachers of rt?

Saltwater fish love live shrimp. Fish them with a Carolina rig. All kinds of ideas are on YouTube.

Well guys, I'm not gonna lie, we didn't catch as many fish today as last week. We caught 48 in 7 hours last week and today we only caught 47 and it took us 9 hours today.
HOWEVER, today we got into some GREAT quality fish.
We started the day castin to a small cut that was dumpin water into the river and Rich and George caught 10 fish in less than 10 min.
Not real sure any of them were keeper size there though.
Then we tried another cut but nobody was home at that one. So we started trollin.
Hadn't been trollin 2 min when George hooks up, another short. We go back up river and start again and he barely got his line out when he catches another one. Well, he does that 6 times in a row and we've boated 16 fish and it hasn't even been 30 min we've been fishin.
Finally we get further down river and the action slows down some, but we're still hookin up a fish fairly often.
Then bout an hour later, around 0830, 0845 Rich and I get a double on and they're HEAVY fish.
I got mine to the boat first but I was afraid it was goin to swim into Rich's line so I put too much pressure on it for the weight of the fish in the current and it pulled off. Shortly afterwards Rich lands a 6 1/2 pounder.
We had a 3 1/2 pounfer in the box from earlier so now we have 2 in the livewell.
We go back up river and start again and as soon as we get to the same spot I hook another heavy fish. This time I land it and it's 7 1/2 pounds.
Now I was just goin to keep 2 fish today so we released the LITTLE one and kept the 7 1/2 pounder.
We start up again and pick up a few more fish in that area but none that size again.
It's bout 0900 and we have 20+ fish so far.
We continue to troll back up river and continue to add to our total. Several fish in the 3 to 4 pound range.
It's now 12 noon and our total is 30 fish and the tide is really slowin down and it's HOT for us out here, but we stayed with it for another 4 hours.
We had a few more keepers and a several shorts over the next 2 hours then it picked up a little again.
At 2 pm we had 40 fish and over the next hour we picked up the last 7, for a total of 47 for the day.
Rich's last fish was a healthy 3 1/2 pounder, nice way to end the day. George and I caught a few more shorts and a 21 and 22 incher to finish for us.
It's 4pm and we really kinda need to get goin towards home, or we could have made it to 50 today as well as last week. We left them biting.
It was such a blessing to be able to get out with good friends and have such a wonderful day in the outdoors.
Thanks guys. Can't wait till we can do it again.
The pics are of some of the bigger fish we let go and then the 2 keepers at the end.
One of the pics of the keepers is the way I take pics of our fish.
The other is the way some of the guys on the stage take pics of their fish.
You decide which is which.
The last pic is of the finished fillets. 🤠👍
Well guys, I'm not gonna lie, we didn't catch as m... (show quote)

Good Morning, Stagers!!!

Sunny, with a high near 84. Breezy, with a southwest wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph. The current temp. is 63. The air quality has been good lately, how has your air been?

Oh, we had a great toon ride yesterday. It lasted a long time, the weather was beautiful, no river traffic. Marion enjoyed it very much. Then we spent a very nice evening on the deck. It could not have been better.

Today, we are going up to the campground to look at the trailer that the lady has, and also the one that Jim, the owner, is fixing up. I think we will end up with one of the two, hopefully anyway. Marion is kind of getting on board with the idea. We'll have to see.

Have a good one folks, and please take care of yourself and, your loved ones, and also others in need.

8/15/23 Shallow water perch fishing. The perch were hitting good a little after 6:00 AM. I was catching some good ones on this little jig lure. Well good one for me, not in the class with you guys.
Albino Shad was the color. One after another for about 45 Min. then it was over. When the tide stops you might as well go home. And that is what I did. Headed home about 9:00 AM. Didn't catch one perch after the tide stopped.

Nice fish, andy. I was surprised to see the Miller Lite so early, then I looked at the time that you posted it and you are good!

just asking, what does that beautiful work go for?

Good morning, Rip. That would be a question for Kerry. I dabbled, unsuccessfully, with it back in the '80s for about 5 years, and I decided that I was as good as I was ever going to be, and left it at that. To me, it would be priceless.
