I would and do always look at a topographic map of the lake and try to find drop offs and structure. Google maps is also great! You can see the water over time so changes in water level can help reveal structure.
Here are a few more scenic photos; various N.H. lakes !
1&2/ Welcome Island/Meredith, N.H. - located in Stonedam Narrows, Meredith Bay, between Stonedam and Pitchwood Islands ! If anyone's interested, the three-bedroom/ three-bath 'mini-mansion's going for a measly $2.2 million !
3&4/ Wolfeboro, N.H. - Like the sign says, it is the oldest summer resort in the country - so-called 'money people' have been coming to Wolfeboro since WAY back in 1770, before N.H. was even a state ! If I remember right, that didn't happen until 1790 ! The smaller lake behind the town is Lake Wentworth, named for a former English governor who built his mansion on its' shores !
5, 6 & 7/ Locations unknown, and the last one may not even be in N.H. - I just thought those scenes were really pretty !

Looks like a beautiful state to live in if you can handle the winters.
While some on this planet Earth worry about extraterrestrial visitors, there are other strange events happening that are actually beyond explanation or human knowledge. Most of us here on Earth are busy with our everyday affairs, there are others who are actively checking what is going on in other galaxies, and this phenomenon has been observed and reported.

In this artist’s rendering, a close pair of white dwarf stars are set up to eventually explode in what’s called a supernova. This happens when a white dwarf feeds off of its companion star until both of the stars detonate, with sometimes only remnants remaining. Photo courtesy of Caltech/Zwicky Transient Facility

WHETHER WE ARE ALONE IN THIS MARVELOUS AND GIGANGTIC UNIVERSE IS PRESENTLY BEYOND OUR KNOWLEDGE OR COMPREHENSION! Your opinion is as good as mine! JUST SAYIN….RJS

I have a hard time believing that in this vast universe that we are the only intelligent life forms. And I question the intelligent part considering what we’re doing to our planet.
I remember doing something similar one January week-end at my buddy's camp on Paugus Bay, Lake Winnipesaukee !
The ice was thick enough that there were nearly a dozen trucks out there along with twice that many ice-fishing shantys !
I drove my 4x4 pick-up out onto the ice, then we tied a water-ski rope to the trailer hitch and took turns towing eash other around the bay sitting on a big truck tube ! What a blast ! By the time we came in to warm up, the seats of our jeans were frozen solid, like big ice patches on our butts ! Hung them out to dry by the fireplace while they steamed up the room like a sauna just drying out !

That sounds like a blast! I used to poop ski when I worked on the dairy in my teens. After the cows finished milking they would go down the ramp to a long concrete run beside the barn that would take them out to the pasture. Sometimes they would stack up at the bottom of the ramp and you would have to go encourage them to move along little doggie. I would grab a tail and they would take off on a run and you just leaned back on the heels of your rubber boots and you were skiing. 😀 One night I grabbed two that were standing together and it was off to the races. When they got to the end of the run one went left and one went right, I went straight into a pile of poop. Sometimes we’d do it in the holding pen when there was just one or two cows left and go in circles. My glasses flew off one night and I had to find them in that muck. I quit doing it after that. I realize now that it probably wasn’t good for the cows but when you’re a teenager you do stupid stuff.
Hi, FD ! Doesn't Wally World have any of either ? They usually have a fairly decent selection !
Failing that, you may want to look into 'Main Channel Brewing' - they're at 2090 Gunter Ave., across Rt. 79/431 from the Waffle House, but they don't open until 2:00 PM !
