I have a bass boat because I bass fish primarily. If i fished primarily for any other fish I would have a carp boat, or trout boat, or gar boat, or a bluegill boat. A bass boat is just what it's called. You can target any type of fish you want in any type of boat, as long as you can get it in the water. When i go fishing for walleye from now on my boat will be a walleye boat. A fishing boat is a fishing boat, it is what it is, just go fishing. Keep fishing. DEEJAY
Try using the alberto knot, I use it to tie any leader to braid. When tying wrap 2 extra wraps around the main line of the leader between the the main and tag end. Continue the rest of the knot. When tightening the knott hose two extra wraps will provide a smooth taper over the tag end that you cut as close as possible. Work the knot with your fingers to flex the knot some, then pull tight again. I never have a problem with the knot hanging on the eyelets, and I don't use super glue, no need. Practice tying it at homeuntil you are comfortable with it . Keep fishing. DEEJAY

Where did you buy the rod from?which hardware store?
Go to a welding shop, or any industrial maintenance dept. Even body repair shops will have some welding supplies. I think about 2 lbs of rods is aboet the minimum you can buy, you dont need that much. A welding shop will probably give you 1 rod. Check it out. Keep fishing. DEEJAY
Usually these sheer pins are made of stainless steel. All that I have changed were 1/8" , I use a stainless steel welding rod, cut a piece to length, sand, grind or file the ends smooth. Cut some extra pieces to keep in your boat incase you break one on the water. In a need to situation, a nail, apiece of fence wire will work, but change it out when you get home, it will rust. Boy scout, be prepared and improvise. Keep fishing. DEEJAY

I have no idea what โ ten bush or pole lines with single hooks or baitsโ means. I find three rods keep me busy surf fishing.
Bush lines are a stout cord tied to a tree limb, with enough line to put a hook into the water baited for catfish or carp, non-game fish. Similar to a trot line, but tied to a limb. I always called thema drop line. Keep fishing. DEEJAY
A friend asked me about buying a boat, what he needed to do first. My answer keep fishing the way you are now, buy as you get yhe extra money the things that are necessary required to have and maintain a boat. Tackle, rods, reels, any thing you will need in that boat. The reason is if you buy a boat and making payments, buying gas, insurance, and any other expense involved in fishing, you can't afford to expend all that money and buy those things at the same time. If you can't afford to buy gas your boat will sit unused while making payments. Buy the things you will need first before buying a boat. Learn all you can from friends about boating, fishing. Join a fishing club, you are not required to have a boat. I started with a 12' fiberglass with an electric motor. 5-6 years later, a 14' aluminum with a 10 horsepower motor, 10years later 1990 I bought a used 17' with 88 horsepower. 2004 I bought my only new boat. I'll use it for the rest of my life unless I get a fantastic deal on a newer boat. Buy necessities first. Keep fishing. DEEJAY
You want catch carp or catfish? For carp, use a box of Wheaties, yes the cereal, pour wheaties into a bowl and crush the flakes, a little water let soak for a few minutes, and work togather by squeezing with your hands. The mixture should be thick and sticky, if not mix more crushed wheaties in until it thickens up. Be sure that all the wheaties are mixed and not still flaky or it won't stay together. The thicker the mixture the better. Roll into balls the size to cover the hook. You can mix before you go fishing, or after you get there. If you want to mix other scents or flavors in, try it. It works. Keep fishing. DEEJAY q
