Tempting is it not when we throw our hands in the air thinking that it is good enough.

Good morning!!!

Isn’t it interesting how our brains can fill in missing information to make some sort of sense about what we see? A series of lines and smudges on a piece of paper can turn into the Mona Lisa.

That is really cool, Glen!

Good morning, it's Thirsty Thursday again! 🍺🍻🍹🍸 Troy, fire up the still and let's get ready for the weekend.

54° this morning only to warm up to 64 and rain moving back in later this morning. It looks like we'll have the rain for the next 4 days.

Changing out a monstrous 80g water heater today. The silly thing is bigger than I am!

The Patient Waiter

A patron at a restaurant was continually bothering the waiter about the air conditioning. First, he would ask for the air conditioning to be turned up because it was too hot, then he would ask it be turned down because it was to cold, this went on for about a half an hour.

To the surprise of the rest of the customers, the waiter was very patient, walking back and forth and very pleasant. So finally a customer asked, "Why don’t you just throw out the pest?"

“Oh, I don’t care,” said the waiter with a grin, "we don’t even have an air conditioner.”

Have a great day folks!! 🍻

Woo-hoo, it's Hump Day!! It's half way to the weekend.

64° outside now and heading to 75° later today. Only 15% chance of rain. It should be a good day to finish the AC portion of yesterday's install. I should be able to clean up there today and move to some small jobs for the rest of the week.

Decided to go to my favorite dock today despite the forecast of on and off rain. We, a friend of mine was there, got about a 90 minute break in the rain. He caught seven and I caught five. A combination of drum and white bass. We ran out of minnows.

My last catch was this guy. A largemouth, before the sky opened up and I got soaked. Definitely my best day fishing, even with the rain.

Sounds like a great day fishin’. That’s a really nice bass, Greg!

Good Monday morning folks!

Looks like a decent day today. 57° now and 75° later with cloud cover, but no rain or storms.. the executive decision has been made. I'm playing hookie and going fishing for the day.

While it was raining yesterday, I managed to get about ½ of the flooring installed in our new living room. I finished up about 7pm last evening. One more long day and I should have it all down after I move things from one side to the other. Then I can concentrate on trim.

Into the Church

Three buildings in town were overrun by squirrels—the town hall, the hardware store, and the church. The town hall brought in some cats. But after they tore up all the files, the mayor got rid of the predators, and soon the squirrels were back.

The hardware store humanely trapped the squirrels and set them free outside town. But three days later, the squirrels climbed back in.

Only the church came up with an effective solution. They baptized the squirrels and made them members. Now they see them only on Christmas and Easter.

Have a great day folks!!

My theory has always been if it's worth worrying, then do something about it. If you can't DO anything , why worry. It won't help.

Oh I remember the face and the smile too, but was never one to follow that character. Nor one for comic books of any character when I think about it. Dang book reports for school took up to much time in the summer and studies ate up time in the winter. Toss in every minute I could being outside kept me entertained beyond needing to read something for a laugh.

Worrying didn't kick in until later teens and as the adult years increased steadily, the worries came with more life lessons.

However, somewhere along the way a light came on and putting trust in the big guy was the mission at hand.

Good devotion for this Sunday morning. A way I look at worry is that when I spend time worrying about an issue in my life that I really can't do anything about, then what I'm doing is trying to play God, and worse I'm trying to control something I can't, and nothing good comes from that.

Thanks, Joel! That’s a good point. Time is much better spent praying - does a whole lot more good.
