Got my first ever keeper stripped bass at the glen cove water front today! Measured 20 inches and put up one hell of a fight. Didn’t get any other bites or anything the rest of the night though. Caught on live grass shrimp, Carolina rig, 4 ounce pyramid sinker.

Be careful, brother. Perch season ends April 1st.
Thanks for that info! Honestly wasn’t paying attention to that at the time. Guess I have to get one last perch today!
Got him on anchovies. Usually though I use plastic blood worms but I ran out of them yesterday.
Came out with perch and a crab. Still a good day fishing. Started off at rodeo beach, fort Cronkite, and ended back home at the glen cove waterfront. Got a crab at the beach, and a perch in glen cove. Honestly I never even knew perch would be in the carquenuz straight.
Trying my luck on sturgeon fishing for the first time! Anybody got any tips for me? Currently using a heavy Carolina rig, 4 oz sliding weight, 16in leader, only got anchovies and grass shrimp for bait for now.
