Oxbow I caught 1 nice large mouth all summer and 1 small one. I caught a small pike and a couple tiny bass at McKarnes. Now lake la su ann was another story. I didn't catch anything on the main lake but wet up to the north side and came back in past Laverne to the last parking area. I fished small lake on the left daughter and boyfriend fished one on the right. I caught 3 nice large mouth. Kurt caught the biggest blue gill I have ever seen.
Problem is it's busy because you can only fish Memorial day to Labor day Friday to Monday. And make sure you know limits and size restrictions.

It's great therapy for kids with autism to interact with dogs during the school day. Our youngest daughter was selected to read with a dog when she was in early grades of school and it does help with students who are struggling reading. The dog care if every word is right but does like the pets when done.
Now that same kid has went from being behind in reading skills to still struggling but getting A's and B's in nursing school . So just keep in mind that time you're investing with the dog and a child can make a huge difference in a kids life. I've seen it .
I just realized I drove by there easter weekend. Looks like a good place to fish and Kayak.
Ok will need to get it back over there then
Small lake up near Defiance. I had heard that people were catching Walleye but the small lakes I can get to right now are small and pretty much pan fish and black bass.
It has been windy was going to go out deeper using the Kayak but wind was kicking up so stayed on the bank. Saw 1 boat out each day and they were not catching anything either
Is it me or is something up with the fish this year. Been out three times this spring and not even a nibble. Yesterday there were probably around 20 people out fishing and I only saw 2 small bass caught. One one other person said they caught a small one. Normally people are catching crappie and bass here by now and I'm not seeing anything. Not even dead fish when the ice melted . Is the water still too cold? Suggestions?
Wait til Saturday Ben supposed to be mid 80s up north you might be closer to 90
Cold with snow flurries on the drive in at 5am. Had a light coating of snow off and on yesterday. No power and a cold house last night. Power got restored but took a couple hours to get the house warmed back up.
Good morning everyone expecting snow this morning. Still only been out once this year and caught nothing. Found a couple of spots I want to try this summer though.
I saw a link online that showed taping pool noodles around the top of a laundry basket. Then attaching a close line rope from the basket to the Kayak. Basket is 5 at Walmart and noodles are 1. 25 at dollar tree. I'm going to try if it ever warms up.
Only thing I see wrong is the reels are not good quality. But what do you expect for 10 to 15 dollars.
Don’t laugh I love my demon and runner from the yak.
