I’m lucky to have made it all the way to 73. Thanks for asking. The shipping was free the handling was kinda rough tho.

Ah yes my older brother by 8 months and 1 day comes up with another memory spark. Remember them all Wulffy and would like to see the wind down window come back instead of the electric car windows. And on the bike petal how many remember the attempt at barefooting them?

Yes Jer, Professor Plum in the scholastic sport of recess, was my major in those grade school.

Quite the coincidence with your thought and my life Wulffy.

As the years now have started to climb in #, I tend now not to worry about the crap that I have no control over. Sure I have concerns over some of them, but if I can not help it in anyway why let it get me down.

So now appreciation of even the simple things has brighten many a day, even when the sky is gray.

Not only is it Looney Toons day, it's National Gummi Bear day. I luv Gummi Bears. Original, sour, tropical fruit.. it doesn't matter.. yummy sweet and chewy!! 😋

It's 41° on the east end of the state this morning and possible showers this afternoon exactly at the time the little guy has a baseball game. I hope the weather man is wrong again.

Hospital Regulations

Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student aide, Sam found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn’t need Sam’s help to leave the hospital.

After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let Sam wheel him to the elevator. On the way down Sam asked him if his wife was meeting him.

"I don’t know,” he said. “She is till upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown.” 🤣🤪😂

Enjoy your day folks!!

Cute joke there Doug, sounds like a slick move Troy would do.

Good morning Chuck, Doug, Jimmy, Fred and the under cover FS agents this morning. Gray sky's in these parts but the last day of cool weather it appears.

I try to delete anything I don't recognize. Years ago I was burned by what I thought was a message from UPS. NOT. The next day I received a message that my computer had been corrupted and that for a fee, the sender could fix my problem. I waited a day too long to get my computer to the someone I thought could make it right. Had I acted immediately, he thought he could have helped. No such luck. My files were gone.

Right there with you Richard. A few years ago the wife received a message from who she thought was her cousin. Had his email address, signature line and everything looked legit.

Only hinky thing to the email he was asking for $ 400.00 that he had fallen on tough times. When she responded with a message to who she assumed was her cousin, the hacker got all her contacts info and a message NOT from her to the same request to all her contacts.

Quite the hassle getting that all cleared up.

I enjoyed reading these from both of you Plumbob and bc. I will vote for #4 being best also. My in-laws had a small store in a small town and offered anything a person might need, and if they didn't have it they would have it the next day.

Joel, so much to be said for small town America that it keeps the country in perspective that we need it as much if not more than the big city way of living.

Quite the contrast walking the streets of a small town where folks will say hi as we pass one another vs having their nose pointed at the phone in down town USA.

After our frost melted, I headed out to Beseck for a few hours. 44° at the ramp @ 10am, and the water temperature was 56.8°. Only a light breeze when I launched, but it picked up on and off all day. Most of my Bass spots were vacant but I caught a 2lb2oz Largemouth near the dam after an hour of looking. I checked the shallow end of the lake but saw no signs of beds. The warmest water I found was 59.5°. I fished docks all around the lake with no luck, but did catch a 1lb2oz buck on a blowdown. There were clouds of algae streaking the water, about 1-2 feet deep, all around the lake. Kinda unusual for this lake. It was an enjoyable day, and the trees around the lake are ahead of the one's at my house, so maybe spring is actually gonna happen. 🤣

Hit Red Cross launch today , lost a pig fairly early and these came once I found them all fairly close together. Wind blew me into a log and it caught my net and ripped a pretty big hole in it , but I stopped and sewed it together with some braid and a paperclip . Just in time for the ones I caught. The water temp was at 55° when I started by 2 pm it was 68° I take the temp about a foot deep. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

Looks like you still faired well with some nice catches there Andy after having to sew your net.

I keep wire ties on board so remind me to give you some for exactly what you sewed when we get together in June.

My wife's liquor store was a mom and Pop store so i can relate to #4.

I prefer the mom and pop stores any day. Might pay more, but usually the service comes with a smile and the gratitude on both ends seems more genuine.

Good morning, everyone. 50/62 and cloudy. Well, I’ve kinda been MIA here lately. As some of you know, I’ve been caring for my folks. A couple of weeks ago, Dad had to be hospitalized. He was experiencing hyperactive delirium from a low sodium level caused from pain from a fractured spine. We’re yet to know how that happened but apparently it can happen very easily in an elderly person even from a wrong twist or from a bump. So he spent a week in the hospital and then we decided that with the progression of his Alzheimer’s disease and limited mobility that we should find a memory care facility for him. So I found him a really nice place. There’s only 4 tenants. He’s got a private bedroom and it’s just a regular house. And it’s operated by a mother/daughter. So it seems to be more of a one on one and personal care facility versus the larger ones. So, we haven’t visited him yet. He’ll have been there for a week tomorrow. We felt that we would let him try to settle in and that our presence would possibly distract him and cause him mental/ emotional distress. So I think one of my sisters and I will try to see him today. So I may be in and out here for a while but I’m still around. Hope you enjoy your day…🐟on

You got to do what you got to do Dave. Better care is priority 1 and something we all would not want to go through but in many cases it is inevitable.

Look at it as the roles have been reversed. It’s honoring your Dad who gave up a lot in his life for you back in the day and tending to many of your needs.
