Ranger I've only fished for trout at McSwain I have seen suckers there I'm planning to be there Tuesday if you want to meet I usually fish the brush pile which is east of the campgrounds I'll be in a blue Nissan PU Let me know

I use the Carolina set up with a #14 treble hook with power bait and yes barbed hooked are allowed

I fish Mcswain all the time not sure about cat fish there but trout been on fire. I usually fish weekdays,weekends are to crowded. I would be glad to meet you there sometime and give you some pointers

I found out that if you talk to other fishermen around you you’ll pick up all the information needed. Most fishermen love giving info

I’m despoiling my spinning reel with mono line. I’ve seen that soaking the new line in hot water helps. Is this true or any tips

I haven't seen any report for Don Pedro but it's a little early for trout fishing they won't start planting until the water cools down
