Soft plastics. I like this seedless rig in ponds and slow water coves when fishing for bass. Don't use the bullet weight if it can be avoided but some windy days it's a necessity.
That was supposed to be bull head not bulkheads 🥴
I suppose catfish have regional dining favorites but around our area hotdogs will get you bulkheads and channel cats. If you want blues and flathead you need to use live bait. Sun perch around 4" long are a good choice and stay active for a long time in moving water. Thay are a natural food and can usually be caught with a cast net.
Some really nice fish there. I'll leave the ice fishing to you young guys.
Where's the fish? Supposed to serve fried crappie with that dish.
-3 here in McPherson, KS with light snow. High of 0°F today. Not going to go fishing.
Sail cat,yes they can sting like any catfish. They eat fine if you filet and remove any colored flesh. Bottom feeders and they are not choosy about what they eat.
Thanks for taking up the slack GW. Find some fun today.
Looks like a very good day.
Welcome aboard AA. Looking forward seeing your progress.
Well up here in Kansas I fish for whatever is bitting. Finding them, getting them to take your lure, learning the finesse all adds up to a good time fishing. Large mouth, small mouth, wipers, whites they're all bass but they all take different technics at different times of the year.
For the trailer I would use stainless steel screws and cup washers. Double the carpet ends over and use a couple of clamps to hold tight while you attach screws on the underside. Solid plastic works very well in place of carpet. When using it get 1/2" material and countersink your fasteners.
Thanks for the morning chuckle G. Super cold here in central Kansas today. Woke up to 7° and looks like that's the high for the day. But hey I woke up, so off to a good start.
