How long did ya get the doghouse for that one Frenchie? That's hazardous😆

Well to be honest, I only tried it once. Got out of the hospital after a week. Had to promise never to troll her again before she let me back in the house. Just wish I'd caught something, she may have had a different outlook on it!

They hit wedding rings and hoochies trolled behind a dodger as well. Through the ice they like pretty much anything with a wax worm, but often seem to like green cutrbugs best.

I tried trolling the wedding ring but my wife soon tired of being dragged behind the boat for so long.

I'd nudge my wife at about 3 AM and offer her two aspirins. If she'd say she didn't need them, I'd say, "Aha! Time for some hanky panky"!

I’m looking for a great spot for crappie fishing or bass fishing in North Carolina triangle area. Bank or boat fishing okay. I’m just new to the area and I’m coming up short on ideas. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. I’m a Texas fish out of water ;)

I'm heading to the Lake Hickory area. I'll be shore fishing. Lake Hickory is a large lake but I don't know how far away it would be for you. I haven't caught anything in the lake but only bank fished it twice.

Usually I'll either bread and fry the fish, but mahi and a few others I grill. Toast the soft tortilla, put either a layer of fresh made quac or sliced avacado on the shell, put on the fish an top it off with some shredded red cabbage,a mango salsa and a squirt of chipotle aoli.

Can't help wanting to try that recipe. I've been waiting 2 1/2 months for DMV to open in NJ to get my boat and trailer registered and all. Just found out they are reopening 6/15/2020. Great news except I'm leaving for NC Monday!

I have been bass fishing for over 50 years, bass like structure. And grassy areas. And I have always use live bait, like minnows , crabs and worms. In about 20 ft. Of water.early morning. The St.Lawrance river near Clayton, NY
If you use a.boat. Be careful there.a.alot of shoals get a.map of the river for. your own safety.

Nothing like cruising down the River in a little fishing boat and seeing an ore barge bearing down on you! Also love all the refurbished wooden skiffs that abound in the area. I lived in Prescott, Ontario until I was 5 years old then moved to Jersey.

A Marine, a soldier and an Air Force guy were having a survival training seminar when the instructor asked them a question, "You wake up in the morning in your tent and see a huge scorpion sitting looking at you, what would you do? The Marine says he'd take his K-Bar, stick it in the scorpion then pick up the carcass and eat it"! The soldier said he's take his entrenching tool, slam it down on the scorpion then bury it." When the instructor asked the Air Force guy what he would do, he replied, "I'd call down to room service and ask why there's a tent in my room!".

And I always thought fishing was so simple! Seems you need a degree today just to figure out what size or type of line, leader, hook, reel, rod, bait, etc. Gotta know if the weather is hot, cold or indifferent, water depth, water temp, kind of cover. Thank goodness for this forum or I'd never have known all this.

Frenchie, the area is called North creek, but don't keep any if you get some. That fine is hefty from what i hear. Them and flounder still illegal to keep. My neighbor reeled in an 18" flounder near me this morning and like me you could feel the pain of catch and release. A few good meals for someone else another day.

Yea Mike and Oz pulled the yak like a compass. Winds were due north and this guy hit all points.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm primarily a catch (rarely) and release guy anyway and I'll be shore fishing this trip.
