[quote=nutz4fish]W H : Too bad this cat couldn't confine itself to rabbits, snakes, and stuff.

Monitoring my native small animal populations is how I know I have a preditor around again.
When this cat was trapped I had no quail, roadrunners, snakes, lizards or rabbits to speak of.
Since then those populations, all except roadrunner, have rebounded.

what lake is that hooker? i know you've got 4 or 5 smaller lakes near you.

That little lake is called T&P Lake. It is on highway 283 headed south out of Baird on I 20. It is a 'gated' lake. Opens at 8 or 9 and gets locked at 9pm. No boats with gas motors.
I watched a guy flicking spinner baits along the rocks across from me. In one hour he had 3 LMB, one of them should have been close to a lake record. I told him he needed to call our warden and get it certified. He was not interested. I was jealous.

I use either live baitfish or swimbaits that mimic whatever is in season when fishing for spotted bass.

Thanks for your help. I will try some of that this summer.

No harm, no foul dude. It's not like she caught 68 fish and pitched them all on the bank. Nothing was wasted....
