Sorry I had bought it that way in spray can. But the scent will stay on the bait with homemade scent.

I used the garlic and caught blue fish on a pier in ocean city md. Sprayed it on small fish we were using for bait.

Scent works great with stocked trout in pa waters for me.
I use it on all my bait.

I am no science buff but I believe the scent is to ward off any unnatural smell to fish ie cigar, bacon etc.
this idea is excellent and I think will work. I am making as soon as done posting this. I am going to try on my live bait also since I use the spray on it now. Nothing to lose in experimenting.
I love the ideas of old school being a boomer myself

Fishing for trout (any fish really) with a bobber and live bait , a chair , a cigar, small breeze good friends and watching the bobber disappear.
Summer time in a boat , sun on face , drifting in the breeze catching any fish that are biting

Use number 18 hooks for trout fishing on 2 or 4 lb test line. Those hooks you purchased are for bass fishing with rubber worms with a sliding weight called. Carolina rig.

Any type of fish that you could filet with a knife to get a meal. Except smelts and that type of fish that’s eatable that does not require filleting.

10 lb test is good. Put on spinning reel for bass and use same rod and reel but tip it with 2 or 4 lb line for trout fishing. Save you few dollars.
My favorite bait for trout and bass is live bait, Minnie’s and worms. Like you eating filet of meat or fish.

Read this one but never tried it.
Catch your first crappie and carefully put hook in dorsal fin and line with bobber on it to find where he goes. Fish there for better fishing.
