Nice catch K. How far out did you guys go?
Nice! The day i went there was a guy in a kayak who went 1.5 miles out and caught his limit
Just got back from Bodega Bay using my kayak and ring nets. Most kayakers were just dropping outside the jetty but not too far out. I was there from 9 to1pm with nothing to show. Lots of tiny dungies but no legal ones. I talked to many others with the same story. I did catch a lot of rock crabs with huge claws but I threw them all back. I will try again when the next small swells come back
Anyone been out there this past weekend? If so How crowded was the Jetty? Also were there a lot of people with Kayak and Hoop/Ring Nets?
Downstreamer, I cant find Gilardie's on the map. Can you be more clear as to where that is?
Thanks
I just bought a pedal kayak (Perception Crank 10) to use in my local lakes and ponds in Sonoma County. I was wondering if others with kayaks have fished the Petaluma river? If so where do you launch? Another question I had is how difficult does it get pedaling with tide changes since the river connects to the bay? Any answers or tips for trolling the area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Thanks for the help. It'll help get me started on what to try. Thanks again
Hi all I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ric and I moved up to the North bay Ca from the South bay (Fremont). I just moved up here about a year ago and wanted to learn more about the fishing up here in the Santa Rosa and Petaluma area. I've done some trout fishing at Lake Ralphine in Santa Rosa but wanted to learn more about bass fishing at Spring lake. I saw a bunch of people last weekend with float tubes and Kayaks fishing there. I actually have a pedal kayak I'd like to try out there. I've never bass fished in a lake using lures so I'd like to know all the different types of how to fishing for them and setups. I've only lure fished for trouts, fished for striped bass wiht cut anchovies in the south Delta or trolled for trout at Lake Del Valle in Livermore. I look forward to hearing from all you
