Thanks, and will keep in touch. We're really not that far apart. Come on warmer weather. My home number is 979-242-5222, we hardly ever answer the phone due to Medicare Plan calls and a mistake I made about asking for info on walk-in tubs. Just call and leave a message and I promise to get back in touch with you. FYI they call me Robert.

Thanks Dirty Dog, sounds like we are in the same predicament. I live in Muldoon, which is about 7 miles northwest of La Grange. A trip to the coast is about at least 1 hr and 45 mins, but well worth the time (if I catch something). Where do you live? I'm still looking for the right yak for me but with so many choices, it's hard to decide on just one. I'm retired so I can go any day of the week. Let's keep in touch and perhaps just meet up if we're close enough, if nothing else but to talk yaks.
God bless, keep your line tight and your hook wet.

Just getting started (again) in kayak fishing, and wondering who else on the forum fishes with a kayak or knows some good sources of locations to launch and fish.Would like to meet up with others since my wife insist that I don't fish alone, and I don't care to either. Too much can happen. Haven't talked her into letting me buy a boat and really haven't decided on which model I want. I have that champagne taste and a beer budget. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, God bless, keep your line tight and keep on fishing.

We all go through ruts, that's what make our good fishing days even better. Keep your hook wet.

Welcome clewis76, hope you have as much fun on your retirement as I have had in this past year. Maybe e can get together and do some fishing after you settle in to your new relaxed life. Where do you normally fish at? Do you wade or sure fish? Here's to the fish keep biting your hook.

Would love to join you and your family, but just got back from Palacious and need some time to rest up before we go again. Do you work or can you go anytime? My wife would love to watch and just maybe get a foot wet. I've fished San Luis Pass, but it has been years ago. Remember catching a nice size trout. Let's keep in touch and plan tto make another trip. Good luck on your trip.

Do you surf fish and wade fish? Just send me an update and my wife and I might be able to meet up with you.

She has never been surf fishing and I know will not wade fish, but will sit under an umbrella and watch.

Just got back from Palacious fishing the piers. Day and a half of complete nothing, no one was getting bites. One man did catch a small 3ft shark, but that was it.
Lets keep in touch and in the near future do some wade fishing. Do you have any good spots located? Always willing to try out any place that produces fish.
Thanks
