Thanks CRK, wind looks a bit much for kayak anyway so I may divert to the CT River and hit the Sound another day. Tight lines.
Anybody catching stripers within a mile or two of the eastern CT shoreline lately? I am not looking for exact locations, just general areas and reports. I am thinking of going out of Niantic Thursday but unsure of my prospects as I have only just begun targeting stripers this summer. Any advice would be much appreciated, TIA.
Pics for attention!

After you add attachment scroll down to bottom and you will see the place to add your titles
Also thanks for the pics
With the sun came the heat!
Fished 645-1115am, cloudy and quite cool until about 1030, nice and refreshing. Although, the recent storms didn’t do much to cool the water, it is still 80 degrees at the surface. Slow morning, caught a feisty 1lb LMB on a wacky rigged Senko, pictured first, then three 2lb chunkers mostly on same, one on a weightless jerk bait. It got hot quick so I headed in. Question: How do you add titles to the pics?
Thanks Nutz, I’ve wondered about that little pond. I think I am going to hit Mansfield Hollow tomorrow but will do Horse eventually. Tight lines.
Update: there are tournaments at Gardner all weekend, a definite no for me!
Thanks Fred, I am hoping to get out there Sunday. If I make it I’ll post with pics for sure - assuming I don’t get skunked!!
Anybody fish Gardner Lake recently? Ever? Thinking of hitting it this weekend. TIA
Sorry but no pics taken. I am new to the forum and this is my first post, I will make sure i have a pic or two next time - although it could be some time before I get out again!
Fished 6-11am, caught 5 LMB between 1.5 - 2 lbs, tough but very quiet and no wind.
