I canโ€™t find them ! Live in Indian oaks in cove and they just disappeared I mean no bite in 2 weeks almost. Why? Where can I catch some from the land .? Boats in shop.

Welcome to the Stage. The sandbass should be migrating up the Brazos above the main lake to spawn at this time or very soon. Talk to some bait shops around there. Drive up the river toward Weatherford and see if you can find an access along the Brazos to bank fish. Use small shiney lures or see if you can find some flea flys. When the sandbass spawn you should be able to catch them as fast as you can cast your lures to them. I wish fortunate days ahead for yโ€™all.๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Where to fish

Bay or offshore? Fishermen (and women) are catching lots of Sheepshead at the jetties in Port A. Drum is also biting on the drop offs. Redfish are in the flats. State water Snapper within 9 miles out are being caught on perch and Snapper Slappers.
Hope you catch some fish ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

DO any of you use fresh water fish scent?

I am a firm believer in Pro Cure salt water scent especially the shrimp scent.

I am about to get more into fresh water fishing.

Any tips or brands for lake bass, trout, and the cats?

Get some Lindburger cheese for the catfish just donโ€™t get it on you according to a friend ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Buy a houseboat. No lawn to mow. If you donโ€™t like your neighbors you just crank up and move.

Thatโ€™s a great ideal! Unfortunately Iโ€™ve run that by the wife to live on a sailboat but she rejected it, but now she might go for a houseboat. What a different way of living. Let me see what she thinks about that.๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

I sold my house this morning we listed it Monday morning and now we're about to become homeless. The people that bought the house paid asking price with the contingency of procession in 30 days. We figured on at least 60 days. We have to get real serious about buying a house. I need to sign off and get back on the internet.

I pray everything goes well with you. 30 days is very quick. My wife and I listed our place a week ago. Weโ€™ve lived here for over 30 years. If we sell I hope we get more than 30 days. Weโ€™ve acquired way too much stuff. Best of luck to you ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Schaef, are you fishing from a boat or bank fishing? Myself I fish from a kayak and also do a lot of wade fishing.
Redfish will hit on top water early and late. They love live mullet, shrimp, and crab.
With Flounder I like to fish with mud minnows. They also like shrimp and artificial baits fished slowly across the bottom.
Speckled Trout like shrimp under a popping cork. They also will hit artificial baits under a popping cork. For bigger trout use big baits. May you be fortunate ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Looks like he has it figured out Cam. Taking the grandkids out and introducing them early will have them hooked for life. Having them catch fish and watching their expressions top it all. Congratulations ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Inspired by another threadโ€ฆhappy Mardi Gras, Louisiana anglers! I know there are a bunch of you here on the stage. ๐Ÿ˜Š Have a blast, and have some dances, gumbo and Miller lites for me - wish I could be there. If any of you are chasing chickens on Tuesday, post some pics!

Happy Mardi Gras to you Betts. Hereโ€™s some chicken chasers I took photos of when we were in Tee Mamou and Iota before the pandemic. Iโ€™ve never seen anything like it. It was a hoot. We left from there and went to Eunice and listened to Steve Riley and his band play some awesome Cajun music. I was fortunate to get to work in Louisiana for over a year and met some very fine folks.๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Live and travel full time in a motorhome
Currently in port Lavaca Texas till next month. Here for warmer weather and saltwater fishing. Next stop for March and maybe April will be Corpus Christi. So far thinking water temperature is still too cold for shore fishing, no boat. Any tips for this area

Genesis, if youโ€™re coming to Corpus you might want to come to Port Aransas too. The sheepshead are biting along the jetties and some good size ones are being caught right now. Along the gulf beach I see several surf fishermen out there. I donโ€™t think most of the piers that were damaged during Harvey along the ship channel are completely repaired at this time but should be soon. Good luck ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

Have you ever listened to songs sung by certain people that tug at your heart strings? Well driving home from my doctors office today one came on the radio. "Sixteen Reasons" sung by Connie Stevens. I really like it. She is about my age and really a beautiful woman. Google it and listen.

Bang the Drum Slowly by Emmylou Harris. My brothers and sister was choosing songs to be played at my dads funeral. Bang the Drum Slowly was my choice. Daddy was a pilot in the Army Air Corp during WWII. My mom gave me his wings after the funeral.๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Headed out with your loved one this coming weekend... (show quote)

I took my darling wife to dinner at La Playa here in town. We signed in and had a wait time of 1 hour and 15 minutes but that was cool. We and another couple were the only locals there. The winter Texans were standing inline at 5:00 when they opened the door. We hung out at the bar and ordered drinks and chatted with the other customers. We got our table and ordered. My wife ordered 3 bacon wrapped grilled shrimp and a shrimp enchilada. I ordered the outstanding cheese enchiladas with onions. Needless to say the food and server was outstanding. My wife had a couple of Coors lites and I had a couple of Bohemias. We tried to order Flan for dessert but they were sold out. We tipped Mike our server 20$. A very outstanding evening๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘
