Inspired by another thread…happy Mardi Gras, Louisiana anglers! I know there are a bunch of you here on the stage. 😊 Have a blast, and have some dances, gumbo and Miller lites for me - wish I could be there. If any of you are chasing chickens on Tuesday, post some pics!

Thanks Betts. Not chasing chickens today, those days are over but did prep some for the grill for tomorrow. Also picked up a couple of King cakes that will wind up at work. One is a blueberry cream cheese and the other is a praline cream cheese. Gumbo is coming soon and will probably be seafood. Had a few smoked turkey and sausage gumbos recently. Thanks for the well wishes.

Happy Mardi Gras to you Betts. Here’s some chicken chasers I took photos of when we were in Tee Mamou and Iota before the pandemic. I’ve never seen anything like it. It was a hoot. We left from there and went to Eunice and listened to Steve Riley and his band play some awesome Cajun music. I was fortunate to get to work in Louisiana for over a year and met some very fine folks.😎👍

Thanks for the pics, El Rod! Steve’s great, I’m glad you got to see him play. Yep, Cajun Mardi Gras is like no other experience. Crazy fun! 🍻
