Looks like a good start! That one frog is massive Andy, I believe if you're in the right spot you'll do great.
I like fishing frogs in the early spring.

Sounds good Ct. I really like the lake, and am hoping to explore more of it this year. If you're not bringing a boat there's plenty of seats available in the bigger boats. The weather is the only uncontrollable variable. I'm hoping by having it a little later, at least it will be warmer, rain or shine. Looking forward to meeting and fishing with you.

You betya, I may pull mine along but there's some time between now and then.
May hop in someone else's boat for a change of pace.
My problem is, when I'm up there I'm on the water for awhile, there's a lot of lake to explore.

Ok Fred, speak to you later on.

Yes, I can drive it but I'm looking in to spending a night or two, kinda makes sense.
I'll get everything together (size shirt) and get it to him.
I like it down there, just hopen the weather cooperates.

Buddy Blaine and I hit Beltzville today in hopes of some eyes and/or stripers. Launched at 9:30 and fished hard till around 5:15 with little to show for the effort. I caught a white perch around 11-12” and Blaine caught this monster yellow perch. I sneaked in a photo before he realized it. Nice day on the water but the catching left a lot to be desired.

That's a dandy!!! Was it chilly where you all were at?
I bank fished today, no luck what so ever.
At least you have something to show.

bknecht, yes that's when they were still hitting pretty good.
After loosing this muskie the other day I do believe I'm going to revamp my rod and reel and buy a bigger net, that was disappointing.
I guess even in my 60's I can still live and learn.

It's to get in the 40' Thursday I believe, then take
A five in to the teens.
I'm going to try it in the morning before we get a bit of ice.
Outdoor show isn't going to do it for me this year so I'm gonna try and take advantage of every day I can. Comon Spring!!!

Wow, that's fantastic!!!! I see there's a few chilly days coming up but then it looks like the weather is to stay in the 40's up to near 50. Bring it on!!!!!

Wow, they are beautiful fish, the one I had on was heavy, I need to rethink my reel, rod, and line. I do believe I'm going to invest in a different set-up. I've used the Zebco 33 all my life but they don't make them to hold up like they use to.
I use that reel and a Walmart $6.00 - 5' rod.
I can control the rod better it seems since I getting older.
What got me was he took off back under the boat and I was trying to keep him from the boat because I know what happens.

Well guys, I finally broke down and bought a net, not a huge one but one I thought would handle a bass just fine.
The weather was nice today so I thought I would slide on down to the river around lunchtime.
After about an hour or so I wound up fishing a tributary to the river, just at the mouth.
I was using some Keitech fire craw's my wife bought me for Christmas and after several cast I thought I was hung up until the line started to come to me. The fish came up to within about a foot of the water and I could see it was a muskie.
All but has him up and had that brand new net handy until I seen he was a little bit bigger than the net, and he didn't like the net. He turned around as soon as the net touched him and we went back under the boat, and my brand new 10 lb line snapped like it was nothing......if that doesn't make you sick!!!!!!!
Judging off the side of the boat I would say he wo 30+ inches.........
Hope everyone else was able to take advantage of this beautiful winter day.
