Thanks, K-man. The weather should be perfect for fishing by the end of this week. I know I'll be out in my kayak. I might hit Juliette, which isn't too far from where you'll be.

The fish in our lake have “Whopper Appetites” and will try to eat anything. Just look at size of the fish on front that treble hook.

Whooo! I’ll bet that was quite a fight!

Tybee Island is nearby. They have great inshore fishing in Tybee Creek and the Bull River. Great tidal marshes, too.

Georgia Outdoor News has great fishing reports for many lakes (including Jackson) in Georgia. I'd advise giving it a look.

I’ve had luck with small inline spinners, power bait floating worms, and wet flys with a trout bobber.

I have a friend who fished there weekly. He has been using top water as the sun comes up and doing quite well. He says he is fishing around grass. Sorry I couldn’t give you any firsthand info.

Thanks for the tip, Rotor.

Nice Sac-au-lait! I've been to Jackson lake a couple of times, but it can be tough paddling in a kayak. Any recommendations on where I should put in?

For inshore fishing, I like the Tybee Creek and Bull Run River on Tybee Island.
