Welcome, Richie here. I use to live in Titusville which is a few miles from Merritt Island. The Indian River is good. Drift over the grass beds with a trout tout or gold spoon for trout and redfish. Mosquito Lagoon and under bridges good. If you don't have a boat, surf fishing, Playlinda Beach in Titusville is good. Also the Titusville pier which is the Indian River or the Cocoa Beach pier will allow ocean fishing.
I now live in Leesburg, Fl (about 60 MI from you) on Lake Griffin so now I freshwater fish for Crappie and Bass.

Hi Clay, Richie here. I live in The Villages and also have a house in Leesburg on Lake Griffin which is part of the Harris Chain of Lake. Seven lakes all interconnected. Also a FL native. Born in Miami, joined the Air Force after college and got stationed in Orlando. Guess I was meant to be a Floridian.

Can you fish the entire Harris Chain or just Eustis?

Hi Jim, Richie here. I live on Lk Griffin which connects to Lk. Eustis via Haynes creek. If you have a boat fish the grass along the shore line. June bug or water Mellon worm a good bet. Top water frog good around Lilly pads. Brookers Tackle shop on 441 in Leesburg a good source of info and tackle.
