Caught my first fish back at the lake grandpa taught me how to fish on. First time I’ve been back without him. Caught a 3 LB lightning trout and his last fist he ever caught was a 3 lb lightning trout. Had his pocket knife with me as good luck!

Hey DS. Hit "Quote Reply" before you answer a post so we know who you're talkin to. Thanks buddy. If you were talkin to me , we launched out of Cuttings Wharf.

Oops yes sorry I have to remember that. Yes I was wondering where you launched from. I lived in Suisun and worked in Napa for many years so very familiar with the water ways there. Miss my late night runs to catch the tides!

Glad you had a very productive date.

One question, did you see any sturgeon jumping?

Also, I was asking man who posted photos of a old style revo toro 60 or 50 if his reel operated as mine does. Very different from today’s low profile or conventional baitcasters that most bass fishermen use today.

@ bobbin,
Yes my level wind travels back and forth when casting.

I love this reel mine is a 51 which is left hand retrieve.

You can always use a penn Baitrunner spinning real they make pretty large ones.ni had the 4500 and my Father-in law has a 6500 model that he took to Alaska and landed a 150 Lb Halibut.

I also have a an Okuma EB 30 Spinning reel that has a baitrunner. I have 12lb on it but think they make a larger model for heavier line.

I think I have had mine for about 8 years. Now they have the beast models etc...
See attached pictures.

The second picture shows the "Clicker" or Baitrunner switch.

I went to the Sacramento Sportsman Exposition each year in search of and they keep Saying Abu Garcia is going to bring this model back. They say I have one of the few Unicorns.

Well Fishing Friends, as much as I hate to report it, we were skunked on Friday. Great weather water temp was warming from 55-57, but the fish would not bite. They were hanging about 35' . We threw everything imaginable. We had one small "short bite' which took off the Chartreuse tail of a 3" Salt & Pepper Gitzit went back at that fish from :30 and never bit again!
Ugg well I'll hit it again in another week or so.

There was one Low profile Baitcaster that had a baitrunner clicker. It was the Revo Toro. I have one and have been searching for another one but am not finding any even on ebay. I use this for in shore saltwater from Stripers to Halibut.

I'm in Elk Grove, small town 15 miles just south of Sacramento.
I fished that lake as well as many others but it's been a year or two.

My Friend just bought a new Nitro 20' boat so itching to get it on the water.

Use I agree these are Mosquito hooks. I prefer Gamekatsu this wire wide gap bait holders. The thin wire seem to penetrate quickly on those soft bites.
