When im on the delta, I monitor 16 like a good boy scout, but have my VHF radio scanning 9, 68, 69,71 and 72.
If im calling someone, I will call on 16, and say" listening on 68,68,68."
Radio checks usually work on 68 or 9.
I frequent hogback to bethel Island or the deep water channel-- Hope that helps--

I fish the delta lots- last striper was at the deep water channel on a catfish rig with stink bait--
We launch at hogback--

We'll be there around 7 AM or earlier depending on how long it takes to feed the horses -- HAHAHAHHA

We always launch at hogback and troll to the deep water channel.
Had good luck there but not sure if its safe for yaks-- never had bad luck on steamboat slough!!!!

We've been lucky at Lake Amador early in the morning, but the bite drops off quick around 9.
Melones is great for catfish but I haven't had much luck with bass -- See you at the M&G --
Gotta have more abbreviations -- M&G, SD -(sac delta) , LB(lake Berryessa), S (Stockton), LO (lake Oroville) . .
Or we could just spell them out. Personally, abbreviations keep me from making spelling misteaks.
