just want to add, scale carp or skin by running fillet knive between skin and flsh, remove head and entrails, for small carp, make vertical slices every 1.2 inches from head to tail. for large carp, fillet the slash. you can bread or not. then fry. the slashes help cook the y- bones to make them brittle. use ur favorite seasonings. enjoy. ideally, carp is out of clear cold water.
