I haven’t been there since I broke my leg and had to walk out on it. It was always good topwater fishing this time of the year from sunup til 9 or 10 Baby spooks in shad or silver and black were the ticket. Fly lining night crawlers on 8lb test and a #4 Snell hook also was very effective.

Limits of Yellowtail and better numbers on Dorado out of San Diego. A few Yellowfin and good Bluefin numbers on 3 day and longer trips.

3 day trip on the Supreme killed em! Big blue fin most in the 80 lb range up to 150lbs. and bloody decks! Mostly night fishing with heavy gear and heavy flat falls and knife jigs. Stand by to stand by! Just gonna get better!

Could not agree more! My Dad taught us to pack out more than you pack in and it seems that the amount of trash being packed out has increased exponentially!! FYI discarded fishing line is my pet peeve!! Talk about a bird killer!! Time to start running the PSA with the Native American Chief crying from all the trash!!

Yup digital scale, still working on the lake record but the kid has set a high bar and 6lb test is conducive for that big bite but not so much for landing them!! Lol

Went out last weekend and fished lake 1. Steady bite on 6lb test with fly lined night crawlers.
4lbs was best fish but bite was good from sun up til around 11AM

Fredfish is spot on! and the limit is 2 bluefin per angler in Mexican waters.
