I have the Guidegear "Muckstyle" boots - on sale for $34.95 and 800 grams insulation. I wear from April to June and September to October - they are phenomenal. No need to pay $200 for a brand name. I put these thru hell and they have held up beautifully. Will but a couple more pair when they come in.

I have picked up some Browning Hell鈥檚 Canyon camo at less than half price than I have seen at the big stores. Great for Turkey hunting and chasing speed goats!

Been looking for the last 14 months for a good waterproof jacket. Really wanted the Simms Challenger but it's NOT Gore-Tex, Sister has the Guidewear Gore-Tex but they wanted $279.00 for it at Cabelas. It finally went on sale and I got it for $200 - same as the Simms plus I have seen it in action AND I had Xmas giftcards so the "remorse" was short lived as it was really a "freebie" for me :)
We'll see how it works. My Simms bibs are good so far after 3 years.
THe BPost jacket I thought would make a good spare for the boat and the missus.

I figured they were some sort of liquidator for overstocked merchandise. They typically have some great prices as compared to other stores. I can order something on a Wednesday afternoon and it will be delivered via UPS on Friday.
Ammo deals are few and far between nowadays. I have purchased through Natchez on occasion. Another one to consider.

Kicking myself- even if you can find rounds these days the prices are exorbitant. Should have bought a couple cases.

THey actually have a jacket that came through on my emails about 2 months ago. Gore tex rainproof called BPost from Belgium for $50. https://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/belgian-postal-surplus-mail-carriers-gore-tex-jacket-new?a=2184803

Good luck

My son goes to college in Mankato. I go down to fish at least once per week. There are literally 12 lakes within a 7 mile drive of each other to fish. Lots of bass, crappies and eyes.

Good Morning Fly, i read the quote a few times and then it hit me. So i did the search and was surprised at some of his other quotes.

The Native American in my opinion is by far the one due as much respect as any other organization wanting what they feel is due them. And yet we hear so little from the Native American community.

My buddies family owns a lumberyard in Des Moines and we meet him at his cabin on the Mississippi about an 1 1/2 south of the MN border. Beautiful place to fish but too far to take you up on your ask. Ever want to come to southern MN sometime let me know and I'll be there

Lots of folks are looking for rods, reels, combos, tackle, etc. I just got my Spring catalog which has some interesting deals in it. I have purchased clothing, tree stands, popup blinds, etc through them and have rarely been disappointed. Worth a look at their Abu combos, anyway. They have some higher-end Abu Revo and Shimano Stradic and Vanford reels as well at what may be good prices. $20 off any order over $99, too. You don鈥檛 have to become a member, but if you choose to, you will get 10% off and free shipping. Check them out!

THey are right down the road from me in South Saint Paul MN. Bought out by Northern Tools a few years back. If you go there it's kind of like the old army surplus stores I used to frequent back in the 80's. Nothing fancy, overstock, new, returns, guns, bows, fishing, clothes. One of my programmer's husband does the catalogs - they have way more stuff in them than the store. Last March I was taking my college son up to Cabelas to get out of the house for awhile. Sportmans Guide was on the way so we stopped. Half a pallet of 9mm cases of a thousand. Figured the price and it came up to .18 a round and I said, "nah, I usually get it for .13-15 round, it'll come down in price" and we left?! Usually around $139-149 for case of a 1,000. Brother in law called me the next day. Those case prices were over $250 and sold out!

Bottom line
that truck is more than capable of towing that boat
A. trailer has an issue
B. Truck has an issue
Trailer easy to check off as good or bad with a couple simple tests.
Truck is the likely suspect

I was wondering if anyone owns a Ranger 620 and what truck do you tow it with? My husband and I just bought a Ranger 620 (we previously owned a Ranger 520). We own a 2019 F-150 V8 5.0 L. It also has a 6 inch lift with mud tires. It had no trouble towing our 520. But my husband just took his first road trip with the 620- an 8 hour trip with the 620 and told me he barely made it home. He said The truck started making noises and struggled to go above 45 miles per hour. Now he is taking about trading in his truck for a Ram or a Tundra. We can鈥檛 really afford a 3/4 ton truck but don鈥檛 want to go through the hassle (and money) of trading in this truck we just bought last year if it could still potentially have the same issues? The boat only weighs 5,000 lbs and when I look it up online it says the F-150 can tow up to 11,600. Sorry for the long post but so stressed right now and don鈥檛 know what to do! Thank you!

I have a 2010 F150 5.4 liter V8 Triton 1/2 ton
11,000 lbs towing capacity - give or take a 100 lbs
18' Lund impact, 115hp 4 stroke
Trailer and boat/motor 2,400 lbs
30 gallon gas tank so about 240 lbs weight when full
Say 2800 with everything plus full tank of gas in truck, 2 passengers so another 760 lbs and 150 lbs gear in the bed of the truck is right around 3,727 lbs.
Don't even feel any of it, uphill, from a start - nada.
Now if you are in the mountains or something maybe.
Your truck is 9 years newer than mine and I would say there is something wrong with the truck - that does not sound right.

Help me out on deciding which reel size to buy for my 6'6 medium/heavy rod. This is for freshwater only (bass) I normally use a texas rig with this setup. Sometimes I'll throw a jighead with a yum swim'n dinger or a ribbon tail worm on there. But yeah, 30 or 35? Maybe a 40?

I was going to spool it with 10 lb fluorocarbon line. I know the specs for 35 says not to go higher than 8 lb on bass pro shops website, but I don't think it's a big deal. What do you think?
