Welcome to the forum. Wish I could help, though I have read many good reports from the area. Good luck.

You can use a castnet anywhere in my experience. Walk along beach, canal or creek. Once desired fish are found throw the net. Good luck

I agree with the other post. All good, I would add bridges and docks. Good luck, and remember you may catch a limit at one spot and get shut out at the same place on your next trip.

Caught a redfish without a spot in Sykes Creek, Merritt Island, FL. This is supposedly rare.

That may be a large Crocker. Same family but with out spots. But as you said, it is rare for reds to be spotless. My reason to say it may be a Crocker is the fin color. Redfish usual have pink to red. Whether it’s a red or Crocker it is a great catch with very similar taste. Enjoy.

Went fishing on the arm out of Porcupine Bay over the weekend. Caught 3 burbot and 3 walleye.
Fishing was slow but the weather was good. Winds were slight to calm. Water surface temperature was 39 F.

Looks like you had a great time.

Live bait is your answer. Give shrimp, crabs, or pinfish a try. Also check with a local bait shop to check what species are in season. Good luck.
