Hash and eggs for breakfast. Scrambled three of em and shared with mrs. spirit. She puts ketchup on her hash. Hard to watch. At least she don't put it on her eggs. Unless she's having a fried egg sammich. Gross. Not a fan of ketchup. I'll eat it on a burger if I have to. I can't think of a single thing that it improves the flavor of. The duck eggs tasted just like chicken. Imagine that.

When I married my wife, forty four years ago, she put ketchup on her watermelon. She did not know what real food tasted like. Still to day, she puts ketchup on too many things. Sometimes she puts Ketchup on her Ketchup. I like my ketchup still in the jar. It is all purdy and red and everything!!!

B F and bb were sitting in the park discussing payment of the IOU's.

In between the finger pointing they were mentioning the subject about turning older. B F said, "Women have all the luck when it comes to getting older."

"What do you mean?" asked bb.

"Well," replied B F. "I can barely remember the last time I was able to get frisky in the evening, but my wife is healthier than ever!"

"Healthier? How is that?" bb wondered.

"Well, years ago, when we were younger, almost every night before bed she'd get these terrible headaches."
B F answered.

"Now that we're older, she hasn't had a headache in years."

My life resembles that story. That ain't a joke, it is a true story.

Yes this virus thing has really screwed everything up. My sister who lives in Romayor north of Houston put me on to NB Smokehouse. Their sausage sampler and hill country picnic are really good too.
Have a good one!

I love sausage almost as much as I like catfish, and that is quite a bit. Have a good one.

Yes they are - very similar to Crappie but saltier. I like to fillet them, dust with seasoned flour and brown in some EV olive oil.
Or you can have a cowboy breakfast at New Braunfels Smokehouse. I love their smoked turkey!

I will have to try that. I am more of a beef guy, but I will try the turkey when things open up a little more. Still lines at the good places in this tourist town. Thanks for the heads up!!!

As many as you can fit in your belly big boy, LOL!

Geomike,

Are those perch tender and flaky? My dentures are slipping and due to the Wuhan virus I can't get 'em fixed.

Maybe if I catch them on motor oil grubs, they might just slide on down...

Yeah it sure is but I’m sure I’ve traveled that distance at least twice in my career and have the aches and pains to show for it.

Yeah, but you are an "operator." I am just a "driver," and barely that. With my old cat I could operate and only have aches and pains. With this old JD, I am barely a "steerer" and I end up crippled after only 7 or 8 hours. I guess I am never going to fill your boots. But I love talking to you anyway!!!

Is there any reason not to buy weedless hooks and use them at all times and that way I would always have them in my tackle box when I’m in the weeds?
Thanks

I have found that if you cut the hook off at about the middle of the curve between the eye and the sharp point, you won't need weedless hooks. You will still get slime and such upon retrieve, but you can usually still get your hook and tackle back. Other than that, I would have an assortment. Like dynamite and electric shock, they each have their place in your tackle box. I am just being silly. That is what I do best!!!
