Was out with a few friends and their 12 year old grandson caught this Black drum 40-50 pounds! It sure was fun to watch Iā€™m reel it in!

Welcome to the stage! What a start! How long did it take to bring it in? My arms would be noodles by the time I reeled in a fish like that! Thanks for sharing!

This is my son in law on his annual fishing trip with his brother and father. They caught an additional 50 fish but this was the prize. It is a black drum, and was returned to the bay. Took about 15 minutes to bring it in.

That is an impressive fish, gentlemen.

Big Ed, welcome to the forum. I fish for cats regularly. Largest one this Spring was 9#, caught on fillet of bluegill. My fishing friend caught a 49.4# flathead on a slipcork set up and a hunk of carp.

I'll be back on the water soon and they're invited for a big fish fry just as soon as the doctor's clear me for such activities. This has been a bummer for me, but I be back soon, if the good Lord's willing and creeks don't rise!

Back surgery? How did you hurt yourself? Praying all goes well on the 25th my friend.
