I have fished both south fork and north fork of lake but my close proximity to peninsula campground makes it a logical place to go.

I have a 16’ Tracker and I’m going to try to figure out how to get the bows/kings in my boat!

Hey Mikey
How long have you been in Placerville? I would love to figure out trout/king fishing in Folsom. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ok gotcha. Do you just fish for bass in your kayak? Ever had luck with trout in your yak? If so, if you don’t mind sharing with what/where? Thanks again

Hi All, just a fisherman living in Placerville and I fish Folsom every week. Looking for new areas near me for trout bass catfish etc. I have lived near Sac all my life and I have been fishing Folsom since 89. Thanks for the info and I look forward to meeting more anglers in my area!

Hi my name is Kathleen im from Cloverdale Calif as well as my husband Tom. We are renting a houseboat with our family on Lake Shasta and plan to do some fishing in late May2021. We were wondering if anyone has tips on what river branches on the lake to fish. Any input on fishing would be greatly appreciatly. Thank you

Hi Kathleen/Tom:
I have fished from houseboats on Shasta for years. Easiest way is to buy some portable rod holders for the houseboat and get two reels that will hold ten colors of lead core line with backing and troll broken back Rapalas pretty much anywhere on the lake. I’ve probably caught the biggest fish up the Pit Arm and most of the browns up there up plenty of fat rainbows everywhere else. 50 fish days are not uncommon when you’re moving from one spot to the next to stay overnight. Just put your lines out 10 colors down with your line alarms (clicker on reel) on and listen for the line to start peeling! Right under the power lines under the I5 bridge has also produced a bunch of beautiful rainbows! Enjoy and post some of your fish pics!

If you’re in that area fishing from the bank, run out to Pyramid and hook into one of those monsters!

I think that is probably what I need to do. Thanks😊

That’s NOT what you need to do. Are in using a boat or fishing from the shore?

Looking for any tips on Lake Camanche in California.

Cold front has come in I'm thinking they'll be in 20-30'.

I’ve fished Camanche several times. Have had good luck toplining Rapalas between Big Hat and Little Hat islands. If that does work try big sheered rock wall straight away from launch ramp on the far side of the lake. Post some pics!

Fish... I think you are only the second sane person fishing from a boat instead ladders, high chairs, and pogo sticks. Lol. Did you enter through the reservation and is there a boat launch?

Yes on both. Just make sure to check the wind forecast for the lake on the days you will be going. When it’s windy, you don’t want to be out there!

You bet, have thought about it for quite awhile. Last few weeks confirms it.

This should definitely be a bucket list lake for you guys! I have caught 6 fish over 11# in my last two trips. My best is 21.3#. Where can you catch quality trout like that? You will NOT be disappointed, that I can guarantee!
