You've gotten a bunch of great ideas to consider from the form. Something to double check, especially dealing w 4# 6-8# line, be sure not to overload the spool with line. New Mono/flor. will jump off the reel very quickly at times & hard to control the excess. May have to remove 30 ft of spooled line and re-rig, try again!

Yeah, depending on the fish location-main line was 6#4# usually a 2# leader.
Ok, Easily can spool up 8#10# main.

Hello to all the humans out there. Have been fishing primarily for trout in lakes, streams & rivers. Stocked and Native trout w a fry pan near by my side, at times. Fly and Spinning tackle used primarily.
Interested in looking up past posts on Bass reels, rods n lures etc. Get accustomed to the Bass Fishing Gar-gin. Hoping not walk into this kind of thing blind folded.
