perhaps you could figger out their mailing address and drop them a line. could give them your e mail, ph # or mailing address. maybe let them know you will be stopping by to ask. if none of that works i'd keep lookin

This has worked pretty well for me, too. County records often show the owner's name. Keep the letter short, but give a brief reason why you would be a good guest. Remember, they've probably been burned before.

What are we talkin' here - trout
or bass ? Used to fish it occasionally, when I first lived here in the '90s/
early-2000s, but some stretches
that I used to fish are too physically demanding nowadays ! Also, I'm not keen on paying $8.00/day for a
Tonto National Forest Pass just
to fish that stretch (or Saguaro
Lake) !

Probably trout. Az Game & Fish stocks below Saguaro Lake dam in the winter- sometimes nice carryover in the semi cool water from last winter, too! I fished there a lot in the 70's and 80's. No fees then, and the access was easier. Just a bit older now, so maybe......

Apparently the PVC pipe got caught in a conveyor while loading or unloading in the air craft. I changed planes in Seattle, so there were multiple opportunities to make a mistake.
After that, I brought travel rods in a hard golf case instead of my suitcase.

I packed all of my rods in a PVC pipe several years ago on a trip to alaska. They were all broken when I got there. Alaska airlines paid me full retail for every one of the rods.
Not saying they would ever do this again, but they stood good for it at that time.

I was a land developer in Arizona for 30 years, got appointed as a judge after the real estate market crashed in 2008. Got fed up with all of the changes because of the Chinese virus by November 2020, and quit the judge job. Left Arizona for Missouri, time for fishing.

I was raised in New Jersey and we had plenty of yellow perch back there. They were great eating. Now I live in Springfield Missouri, so I will be looking for yellow perch here too!

For about 25 years, I had a ranch until 2015 about 1/2 mile up Castle Creek arm. I spent so much time looking down for rattlesnakes and broken water pipes I barely had a chance to fish the lake.
Now I'm retired in the Ozarks and loving it!

I went to the pier in early October. Most folks were using semi-heavy Spinning rods, but lots of generic freshwater and saltwater tackle as well. The bait shop on the pier has probably all you need, including rental rods and reels, live shrimp, etc. for cheap. Lots of YouTube videos. Google Okaloosa Island Pier and Destin and that should tell you a lot.
All that said, this was a non fishing trip for my wife and I, and we saw manta rays and plenty of dolphins from the pier. Saw many generic small fish caught, but offshore critters like tarpon are there in season. Good luck!

At a bad time of my life about 10 years ago, I went fishing for the first time in about a year at Ashurst Lake near Flagstaff Arizona. I caught a trout within a few minutes of being there, but because I had a bad ankle I couldn't crawl over the rocks to the low lake level to release the fish totally unharmed.

Throwing the fish out as far as I could since I had no way to keep it, I just sat there and watched the fish flopping on the surface. Soon, a bald eagle came down and picked it up. My day just got so much brighter!
