Hey Yak...I drove 165 miles from Palm Springs to Havasu at 4 am last week with my 10' yak, unloaded and discovered no paddle! I found a long plastic storage box in my truck and decided to give it a try. It got me out to the weed beds I was headed for so it all worked out.

Does anyone have any good kayak recommendations for fishing? $900

My wife and I bought Lifetime Fishing 10' Kayaks in the spring for $300 and they do everything we could ask. Why spend more unless you want to foot pedal. Got them at Tractor Supply and they've already paid for themselves with the fun we have!
I've used mine several times in a kayak recently and I love it. Same batteries after 4-5 days, gives me depth and tracks plenty of fish. Can't beat that at $45!
I bought my Angler 10' at Tractor Suppy for $299 and you can't beat that. It will be just as fast with just a few rod holders slowing you down. Your weight compared to them will be the difference. I bought a $45 Lucky fishfinder last week and it works great!
My wife and I have been kayak fishing the past few months and I just bought a $45 Lucky fishfinder. Tried it last week and was very impressed watching depth which is always important plus it tracked fish below me constantly. Just floated the transducer next to me and it was great. Still working on an anchoring system that I'm comfortable with.
I just got one yesterday and heading out in the morning for 4 days at Mohave and Havasu in a kayak. More than anything I want to know depth so I'll let you know later in the week.
Move to Southern California, we go 6 months without seeing a sprinkle. Heading to Lake Mojave and then Havasu tomorrow for 4 days of kayak fishing in sunshine but also pushing 100* each day!

I tie to a stump or brush
I just ordered one these $50 Lucky fishfinders after they got good reviews and heading to Lake Mohave and then Havasu on Monday. Look forward to trying it out, more for just knowing the depth than anything.
Looks like you have the same Kayak as my wife and me, curious if you use an anchor or tie up to a stump or whatever to stay in place? I have a small boat anchor but wondering if it might get hung up in some of the lakes I fish in northern Arizona.
Have fun with a $300 Pelican or Lifetime and see if you enjoy it! My wife and I bought them a few months ago and have had a blast. They have rod holders and storage, seem very stable and been catching fish in Arizona lakes. Bought them at Tractor Supply and look forward to a great summer in the Sierra!
I'd like to see additional pictures also, motor and price? Jefflang7777@gmail.com
Thanks.
I bought a Tamarack at Tractor Supply and some stores here in So-Cal handle 5 models of Pelican and Lifetime.
