Nice fish! Great pictures.
It is great when a spontaneous opportunity comes together with success.
Who did you go out with ? I have Winchester Bay on my list of places to visit this summer. Those ling cod pictures sealed the deal to go there for fishing & camping.
Thanks for the information.
Nice fish & great photos.
Where is Wind river ? and in general where were you fishing ?
Thanks for the post !!
Alphawolff,
You are in the right place for fishing information. Maybe phrase the questions differently. And ignore the folks who have forgot their manners.
Hello Shad,
Not sure how I got in this loop, but here I am. I am told that the East end of Foster reservoir near Sunnyside park has bass, croppie, not sure about catfish.
St Louis ponds near Woodburn is a good place for pan fish.
I am always looking for fishing buddies, am retired and can usually go on short notice. Have a 16 foot Sea King to use. My email is rainshadowrancho@AOL.com for easier communication. Let me know if interested.

Buffalo Joe on Fishing stage
I have not been up to GP yet. I am a warmer weather fisherman except for steelhead will get me out on a sunny day.
Someone told me they were only catching trout off the bridge and it was a long way to the water. That is all I know.
I have went for both. I will fish for anything. I like the experience of not knowing what might be on the end of the line. Plus just being out is a bonus. BTW that is quite the fish. You will have to share the story sometime.
And I agree that warmer weather will bring me out sooner.
And to ensure warmer weather am going to La Paz Mexico the first week of April for 8 days. Been trying to get some of the other guys to go but no takers yet.
Tight lines, Joe
Do not know of any ponds, small lakes but will ask around. I know some folks who grew up in Sweet Home. There are St Louis ponds near Woodburn that have warm water fishing.
Try East end of Foster reservoir near Sunnyside park. I am told that there are bass around there. I have not caught any, probably a lack of skill.

Are you my old friend Joe Miller? He lives right there too. I fish the coastal rivers but they aren't doing well right now. Your friend John.
Sorry not Miller. Am new to Sweet Home as of 9/2020.
And thanks for the welcome.
I am not selective sometimes, if it swims I will try to catch it.
In Oregon trout, catfish, salmon, halibut, steelhead. Like to fish in Mexico as well
Thanks for the welcome !

New to the site but been fishing for awhile off & on due other pursuits.
Live near Foster reservoir in Sweet Home. Retired; always looking for some to fish with. Need someone there to verify that one that got away was a whopper (not malt balls).
Will post pictures as I get them. Look forward to the conversations.
