Read the book Life After Life. There appears to be a much better place out there. I’m in no rush to find out, but it should quell ones fear of death.
I have no knowledge of farm equipment but it’s very cool that it’s been around for that long and is still in good working order. I love this kind of stuff.
I’m supposed to be going out tomorrow but the weather doesn’t look to good. Hopefully it won’t be that bad.
I’ve had a daughter/dad annual trip for years. The best fishing day of the year even if we get skunked. Come to think of it, we’ve never been skunked !

Maybe that gull and his buddies will lead you to a nice striper.
Those big lazy SOB’s just scavenge. It’s mostly the terns that work the surface around here.
Caught a nice 20" keeper fluke this past Wednesday. Minimum size is 18 1/2". Upon returning to the dock I filleted it at the new station they set up and got 4 nice fillets. I took no more than ten steps from the table to toss the carcass in the water. As I turned back I saw a gull just finishing off the 4th fillet. I wasn't gone from that table for more than 10 seconds, and that SOB had my dinner for his lunch. Everyone at the dock had a pretty good laugh, my fishing buddy the loudest of course (he got skunked for keeper size). I learned a valuable lesson and will never again leave my catch alone. I was a bit pissed off initially, but couldn't stop laughing on the drive home.
Funny story.
Fishing was slow but I caught a 20” fluke. Got back to the dock and used their fillet station. I stepped ten feet away to toss the carcass in the water and a gull ate all four fillets in about five seconds. That SOB had my dinner for his lunch !!! We all got a good laugh. I learned a lesson.

Were you on the Lido dock today?
I was in the boat drifting in the area.
He had a motor. That was a Hobie, which is also a peddle unit. I have one like it with a motor also. I only use it once a year now up at Lake George. This might be our last year in LG so I will probably sell it.
Ha Jimmy
I bet I drifted right past you. There was a guy in a kyak out there all day. I’m sure you saw him out there.
Went out today with a buddy around Jones Beach inlet and Reynolds Channel. Not much going on. Two cocktail blues, 4 short fluke, and a monster sea robin.
East Atlantic Beach. Surf casting here and weekly boat reservation with my club out of Freeport…. Reynolds channel and JB inlet.
I have found life is easier for stupid people because they don’t know they’re stupid. They end up making it tough for those around them.
NY regs are now 18 1/2”. Four fish limit. For the life of me I can’t understand why regs would be different a few miles away. Idiotic.
If I say what I really think I’ll get another slap on the hands. $70 today, and that was at Costco.
