Hey good morning everyone. I recognized that boat design from a website I use to
to visit. If I can figure out how to attach a photo you will see some similarities.

There Use to be Gander Mountain in Salisbury MD but closed up a couple years ago.
I heard a rumor that Harley Davidson closed in Seaford DE and moved into the old
Gander location.

Eric,
FastFish here from Ocean View DE near Bethany Beach. Surf fishing lately has been kinda
rough between the storms, wind, sideways rain and catching anything other than skate
or dogfish is few and far between. Last I fished on the Angler boat out of OC Talbot St.
we did well on nice flounder and limits of Black Sea bass.

I love surf fishing too and usually concentrate around DE beaches also occasionally drive
on beach at Assateaque island MD. Where are you from and what area are you fishing from? There
are a lot of knowledgeable anglers on this forum but we will need more info to be able to offer
help.

Sometime ago I believe a user named Joe Crabber inquired about striper fishing
in DE. I led him to the place that had been productive for me,if your without a
boat in “Dela- Where”

By no means do I consider myself an expert. I love fishing as much as I do just
being out in nature. Catching something is only part of the enjoyment I have
while meeting new people and learning new techniques from other anglers.

Hey Flyguy, good to be here with you too. I’ve been a silent viewer but admirer of
the varied anglers on here from around August of this year. Im originally from MD
born and raised around the Baltimore area. Bought a home in DE for me and my
wife (family,in the summer months) near the beach back in 2008 I retired in
2015. Waiting for wife to decide when she is gonna retire. I surf fish from the beaches
between Fenwick Island and Dewey Beach concentrate around the Indian River
Inlet, Indian River bay and jetty areas in the spring and after Labor Day. But during
the summer I’m more into inshore party / head boats. Fishing for black sea bass
flounder, bluefish, porgies, pompano, triggerfish, stripers, my neighbor has invited
me to go offshore with him for wahoo, tuna, and golden and blue line tilefish next
season. I was draftee lucky number 36 during the last selective service draft in 1972.

If your going offshore your gonna need a rod and reel that can handle a
fish between 30 - 300lbs. If you charter a boat for tuna fishing, you could
leave the $40 rod home and use the setups they provide on the charter.

Thanks for the welcome fellas. Trying to get some Christmas spirt on me. Seems
every time I’m out trying to locate gifts and such for (wife, grown kids, grandkids)
I always wind up looking in the fishing depts. Then I get myself some more stuff
I prolly don’t need, call it a day and start the search again tomorrow. HaHa

Been following the topics, expertise, information and humor for a while now and
updated my location. Usually saltwater from beach, jetty or party / head boats
around Indian River Inlet and Ocean City MD. We’ve been blackfishing (Tautog)
last few weekends lots of throwbacks 16 in. minimum 4 a day now. Heard now
some keeper size stripers have showed up within the 3 mile mark. Good to be
among fishing friends.

Try the Indian River inlet at dusk / on incoming tide North Side on the jetty or the walkway. Or under the lights near the coast guard yard. Great place to fish.
