if you shake it across the bottom using the rod, all worms will stand up
" caught several bass over 7 pounds " i just want to know where your fishing!
trout are predators just like bass. they wont hit a 5inch worm, but they will hit a 1inch worm. i have downsized many of my favorite bass plastics, and techniques to catch trout. even very small crankbaits, and top water. sometimes using modified bass baits, and techniques helps get me get through till spring comes!
'caught many bass over 7 pounds" i sure would like to know where you are fishing!
in my opinion a snap swivel deadens the lures action, and feel. in rough condition, or weather i may use a snap to make things easier, but prefer direct tie. i use a barrel swivel when i carolina rig. the only time i will use a snap swivel is when i trout fish with an in-line spinner, and its so small its hard for my big hands to use it
the only fish i ever hear caught from raystown is the strippers during the spring run (i dont know when that is ) the bass fisherman i know will never go to raystown, too much pleasure traffic, too much pressure
im in central pa...welcome pappy
If i could only use one lure to catch bass for the rest of my life it would be a green pumpkin tube
i guess im just a cheep old man, but i cant justify spending that kind of money on a bait. a lucky craft pointer is about as expensive as i buy, and i cringe whenever i pick one up. i tell myself its the fisherman, not the bait that catches fish?
i have, or had almost everything ever made, but seem to only use a tube, or worm every time i go fishing. i was born pretty, not smart
i grew up in ky. find a deep flat 15-30' with grass. keep your swim bait, spinner bait on or near the bottom. deep diving jerk if the water is clear works suspended half way down if you work it a little slow. plastics will work, but you cant cover much water going slow. if its sunny, and warm they will move up shallow, and wood at any confluence could hold fish.... good luck
never used one, feels a little like cheating to me?
