Increase your page size and maybe you’ll see better.

Sorry, Hack ! I 'zoomed' the phone
in to the max, but those still look
more like 'skeeter profiles than
any hornets I've seen ! As for
lenses, the results of my last
eye test were 20/30 for both
eyes - I only wear over-the-
counter 'readers', and then
only 'as needed' !
If those are Texas hornets,
shouldn't they be about the size
of sparrows, at least, and 'skeeters
the size of normal hornets ?
Arizona 'skeeters ? Been here just
over 19 years (total) - don't think I've seen THREE in all that time out here !
Back home was another story -
some days it was hard to get any fishing done for the 'skeeters,
gnats and/or midges constantly swarming in your face !
Now, here's one critter you should hope to never run into (and YES !
this wasp is way bigger than your average Texas hornet) ! This is a Tarantula Hawk Wasp, and its' sting
can fell a horse - the sting, though
not lethal (unless you're allergic),
is as bad as the sting of the
'bullet ant' of South America ! If
stung, all you will be able to do
is lie on the ground screaming in agony for 5 to 10 minutes until the pain finally subsides ! It may not be lethal, but it is excruciating !
