Yes I grew up in Central Ca Modesto, with family and San Jose as a kid...San Joaquin Delta and always seen Shad boils but never on these two lakes. My work mate said they snaged shad at site 6 on lake Havasu with a trouble hook and said a man close by was throwing a 4' casting net and caught mice bass on shad. We will try the lake when things warm a little.. tight lines to you and I will stay tooled in.

We went Friday and never got a bit..water got kinda rough and the smoke got bad but still avoid day on lake Havasu 🙃 glad you caught one!

Going try Lake Havasu tomorrow and trying to find live shot seems to be the trick. Will post pictures and results tomorrow after I return home.

Is that live shot or is that big gulp shad? Where do you get Shad this time of year? Is it illegal to use a throw net here in arizona?

Also were you using live bait or were you jigging or how did you catch them? I moved here in April from Colorado and before that I lived in California fishing San Joaquin Delta

What was the date you were using? And do you know what the water temp was? Those are very nice fish

So I found a website for shore fishing at clear lake so just go in to your Internet and put in shore fishing at clear lake and there will be an app that pops up.

Not sure about fishing from sure I've always had a boat there and I'm fishing with a friend of mine but but I only use plastic there..

I am heading to clear lake April 10 thur 16. One bass has a tournament but not sure how many boats they have in the tournament. I'm meeting a friend of mine from Reno and he's picking me up from Sacramento airport on the 10th and we will fish together for 5 days. An old high-school buddy I met up with again after 40 Years of not seeing each other. Last year we had a blast caught good fish and a lot of them. The lake was low hopefully it won't be that low this year. We stayed at Vista Resort. Good luck with your visit to Clear Lake look forward to hearing about your trip. I am new to this site so still trying to figure things out.
