the river is not running at dardanelle and they are not generating through the electric part of the dam either , everything up this way is medium to low on water height .

Welcome here’s a few pond bass
Good catch, I don't like to eat bass much,But I do understand you have to cull them pretty fast if you want anything other then bass. Same thing with flat heads, found that out the hard way.

Hopefully I’ll be lucky enough to be able to retire and have some years ahead of me. I plan on staying active and fishing as much as possible, thanks Hmorp123! You take care buddy! And watch out for those hooks! Good luck and be safe!!
No worries, mate, been all over the world could have retired anyplace I choose this one Because of the people that live here, well and the fact I have enough land I don't have to worry about some busy body telling me what to do. My wife Does NOT fall into that group of course the outside is mine, the house she rules with an iron fist. You have a great life; remember you only get one down here.
Good Job, back when i worked full time, I would sometimes "get lost" for a early morning fishing trip up there. Beautiful lake pretty easy drive, and most important just good people. Never caught a big bass, but have caught some giant bream, good cats, and pretty (as in good shape color and size) crappie. Most important thing when you get old like me, keep working some but TAKE some time and go fishing, tell your grandkids to go with you and TRY not to throw the five-year-old that has just hooked you in the back of the head for the ten thousandth time, into the lake with a tackle box tied around his feet.
those ponds look to be in great shape, may I ask what's in them? Ours have bream and flathead catfish (which was a HUGE mistake, throw flats into your pond it doesn't matter How much bait fish are there pretty damned soon all you have are flats. Which is fine I guess, but it sucks paying 1,000 dollars every spring to put bream into the ponds only to know 95% plus are going to end up as kitty food)
catfishing is pretty good in deep holes on lake use fresh shad as far as crappie caught a few fishing damned deep brush piles, but so slow you would be 120 years old before you caught enough for supper. Whites are good in early ( like break of dawn early) on swim baits. Good luck
Welcome home I just retired and moved back from MN. Hint I won't miss that place. Enjoy being here take care and keep your hook eet
Left that frozen ice bear land when I retired lol I'm old and creaking these days
Been tough everywhere,Arkansas has had 3 days of ok fish catching a few crappie and bluegills, catfish are ok. Good luck until mother nature makes her mind up going to be rocky spring
