O yea, I left out an important part. If possible use ultra light or light gear. The lighter the gear, more fun the fight. And trout are soft mouth, so lighter the gear the more give the pole will have if the trout jump, and trout are good for that. Be sure to set a light drag
Yep, 4 or 6 lb. fluorocarbon with berkley power bait rig, or light spinners and spoons. even salmon eggs rigged with float. All bait should be about 18" or so above bottom or weeds. Trout are not bottom feeders. Use a spinng reel and pole if possible, the longer the pole and lighter the line, the further the cast.
great catch. browns and brooks are beautiful fish. although i think rainbows taste the best, because the stockers I think, are feed better. LOL
