Hey J, we had a great time as you can tell and yes it was a little bit of a rough ride out Friday morning and the captain was surprised it was as windy as it was and also that the direction wasn't from where they were predicting either, but he new where the fish were located and we were hooking up within 5 minutes. It started out hot on Saturday afternoon to but totally stopped for about an hour (2 drifting patterns) where we could see that they had dropped to the bottom but as soon as we saw them rising the bite was on again.
Captain Drew really did his job for us.
Thank you again for the info you sent my way.

Glad it went so well! I was checking the Port Clinton weather on my phone all day Friday and Saturday. I amazed you guys went so far!! Plenty of fish way closer to where you started but I’m sure he had his spot. Drifting and casting is my favorite way to catch them. Just not easily done around me.

Thanks for the post

Just always cast into the wind when drifting and kinda slow on the jigging and if you feel a nibble just point pole towards them it puts it right back in their face. I’m by no means a pro that’s just what works for me m. This trip we used hair jigs and will be switching to crawler harness here soon. Trolling we used bandits 55,45 &35 back in a variety of colors

Thanks! Sounds like the same technique I use jigging and trolling.

Well done nice bunch of eyes!! I know I should go west 45 min and then launch but I’m a sucker for 10 min to the launch. Fishing’s definitely better a bit west of me. You have a secret jigging technique you’d share?? I Haven’t spent much time doing it.

The link below is to the company we order our shirts through. You can pay online and have the shirt shipped to yourself for a small fee or to me for free. If you have issues ordering or paying send me a PM. I will wash all the shirts I get before I bring them to the M&G. Shirts run a little slim. I’m 6’4” and 225 with a gut and got a 2X. Shirts have held up well I wear mine a lot.

If you see this post make sure anyone who’s coming is aware of it. I’m posting in the main on purpose to catch the most eyes.

Boat inland lakes in ohio

What general part of Ohio. I’m familiar with the Northern half but don’t know much about waters south of Columbus. If you give me an area I’ll find you the best lake nearby.

Sorry I missed your post J 🙏Great description of your day out ! Great looking Walleye ,, Beautiful photos my Friend !🤙👍

Nothing to be sorry about Bob! Real life is much more important than my post. Glad you enjoyed it! Hope to get back out there soon. The near short bite only has a few more weeks then most the fish will move out deeper.
