After researching Walleye charters for a few weeks back in February, I finally chose Captain Drew Bercaw to take our group out for two outings, Friday morning and Saturday afternoon. We worked out of N.E. Port Marina, Port Clinton, Oh. and boated about 9.5 miles to just south of the Canadian border. We cast and drift fished with spinner rigs and nightcrawlers in about 25' of water. The bite was very good with catching many fish from 13"- 26 .5"
It was a little breezy and rough on Friday with 3-5' waves and a little rain but slightly smaller 2-3' on Saturday. It definitely gave our legs a workout.
We ended up with between 45 & 50 pounds of fillets which will be enjoyed by multiple families.
We are excited about scheduling with Capt. Drew again for next year if not sooner as we are possibly looking at a fall trip.
A good time had by all.

That's great Mas fish congrats to y'all. Took me 3 times on Erie before I caught my first walleye lol. The spring bite is definitely on fire has been for quite a few years now. Perch in the fall used to be good but it's slacked off with all the walleye in the lake now so some say

Hey Flytier, we did an a.m. trip on Friday and did all of the filleting ourselves at a public cleaning station near where we stayed and with the trip out Saturday afternoon/evening, we had Capt. Drew take care of the catch for a small price. It made it very workable for our group. We have scheduled again for the same weekend next year as the dates fill up quickly for the good charter guides for sure.

Wow. Nice catch. Do you have a slot limit? If so did you have to throw many back? Sometimes the catching is even better than the keeping. I have on occasion caught fish all day, without getting a limit to kept. They were still outstanding days, especially when the throw backs were overs. Great job, you catch is impressive.

Hey bapabear, the Ohio limit i6 per day over 15" and yes we returned several to grow up for the future and we all caught several that were from the 2017 spawn year. Their fishery is on fire after many good spawning seasons and looks great for the future which is fantastic considering what is happening in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan lakes with their controlled limits and slot sizes.

Thanks. It is good to learn something every day. It is to bad some stagers take my questions as criticisms rather than just seeking knowledge. Have a super dy and thanks for the pictures.
