Thank you for your comments!
I go because I have to go. I believe that it is the most important thing that I do. And, of course, I miss from time to time and have to watch online.
I live in Michigan and still attend the church I was raised in. A very good non denominational Bible based church.
It has always been my church home here.
I spend a fair amount of time Musky fishing in Northern Wisconsin. I recently was told about an amazing church up there. So, I have been there probably 4 times so far. Another Musky fishing family told me about it, which saved me the time in having to check out each church in the area.
When I walked into that church, I was thinking, "The poor people have no idea who just walked into their small church."
I was thinking that way because I am probably the world's foremost "conversationalist". I talk way too much.
But they have a meal after service every Sunday. And I realized that the entire church is exactly like me.
The church here, at one point in the service, they say to greet those around you, which is generally 3 to 6 people in your area of the church.
Up there, they take and intermission and pretty much everyone greets everyone.
It is hard to remember the names, but I do my best.

It can be hard to get a word in edgewise with that many people that love to talk.

But such a cool place. A church filled with like minded people and a whole lot of Musky fisherpeople.

Church is very important and more important today than at any time, in my life, with the craziness in the world today. High crime rates, disrespectful people everywhere, etc.
I could talk all day on that.
But I'll spare you.

See you at church.

God Bless.

I think the grave needs to be exhumed to know for sure.
I love those types of stories. The Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, Chupacabra, etc.
I'm not sure I believe them all. For Loch Ness, I believe that people have seen things and are not always only creating hoaxes. But I doubt that a Plesiosaur exists there.
I do think that the idea of monster fish (Muskies) living beneath our favorite lake, is what drives me along in my crazy hobby.
Thanks for sharing!!!

Thank you for sharing that story. It is good that you can tell that story in such a great way. With so much bad stuff associated with that one wreck, you still overcame it all and have that story to tell today.
People laugh at me, because I will never buy a brand new car again. Every new car that I have bought in my life has been totaled (never my fault), except one and it was stolen.
I will share my 2013 texting driver, head-on wreck one day. I think it is hard to tell those stories (of wrecks) properly. It is easy to dwell on the wreck, injuries and the blame of the texting driver.
But the real story is getting the whisper from God telling you that everything will be OK, and the way you move forward from it all. It is powerful stuff.
Thank you, Bob.

Thank God you are alright!!!
Falls like that can go back really fast. I have experience with that, but no advice to avoid it.
I had just returned from Wisconsin on Easter Sunday at 3 am. There was still 4' of snow up there and hard as concrete. I could walk on top of it easily without sinking down into it.
But I made it for Church.
He is definitely RISEN indeed!!!
God Bless, Bob.

Hey Bryan,
My friend said all were caught on flat lines with Thin Fins - whatever that is.
Last weekend he used green and orange. Yesterday they caught 9 coho only on green.
Good luck.

Hey Bryan,
You could call Tackle Haven in Benton Harbor or Broadlows Fishing Hole in St. Joseph for fishing reports or information to see what folks are doing and where.
But it's definitely hot here right now for your brand of fishing.
I think both of those places are good for information.
I would also think South Haven should be hot too.
Best of Luck.

Hi Bryan,
I'm from St. Joseph, MI. And I cannot really advise you on tactics of catching Salmon and Trout on Lake Michigan.
I got so sick of trolling here as a kid, that I ignore the big lakes and spend my fishing time in smaller lakes after Musky.
All that said, my neighbor just bought a new used boat and went out with borrowed gear last weekend. He and his two boys limited out with Coho quickly. People are catching them like crazy now.
Boats are going in and out of the piers all day now.
And he did tell me that he didn't have the gear he would have had. Just borrowed stuff. No down riggers.
You should be able to score easily, if you sort of know what you are doing, which I do not.
Good luck.
Please share some of your photos when you score. All of the fish that Chris brought back were the perfect size for the table.
Take care.

Awesome Stuff!!! And funny thing too that some of these stories were identical to mine.
My daughter Alexa while listening to Juke Box Hero, also asked me what a Juice Box Hero was, as she wanted to be one.

And, when my son was young and I was actively trying to catch a musky and frequently took him for bluegill and stuff like that. He said to me, "Dad!!!! Dad!!!! I've got a great idea!!! Let's catch every fish in the world and mount them all!!!" He turned 27 today. I still tease him about that.
I'm glad we didn't do that or Fishing Stage wouldn't be a thing today.

One day, I was driving my kids to school in the morning. I looked in the rear view mirror and saw Alexa looking at her hands held up in front of her face.
She asked me, "Daddy? How does Jesus make fingernails?" I thought for a few seconds as it was early and hadn't had my coffee yet.
I said, "Jesus makes those things that no one else knows how to make."
Thankfully it worked.

Thank you all for sharing!

Hi Bob - You might be right. I just assumed they were molded concrete because they all seem to be exactly the same. But I could be wrong. I think they are fairly old, but next time I go there I will look out of curiosity.
Thanks Bob. I hope you are doing well.

It's amazing what people will take. I have seen several neat tree trunk grave stones up here in a cemetery that some of my family is buried in. But these look like they are molded out of cement, in my opinion.
I doubt they are made from marble.
Glad your family could make it right and get a new proper stone for Alexander.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Temple.
I shy away a little from asking people about their fishing holes.
And I really appreciate you sharing that with me.
Pennsylvania is not that far away.
