Hey Little Wolf, welcome back. Glad you got some spunk back and can get out again. If you want someone to take the Moby Dick lure off your hands, let me know. I bass fish Clear Lake sometimes and might find a use for it.

Well for now I'm going to keep it for the Laughs.

Haven't been fishing for a while now due to Health issues. I finally with some new drugs have my piss and vinegar back, also have two new eyes. I can see now with good clarity at a distance, not so much up close.

So with my new piss and vinegar I decided go do some casting at bon Tempe reservoir. My lure went through some grass that felt like hits, no fight but I could feel heaviness on my line that felt like I had something on my line. What I had was some lost monofilament fishing line. I figured let's get it out of the lake and throw away so no one Else fouled there line in it. So as I was pulling it in all of a sudden I see what looks like a trout coming in with it. Okay I think since it is not fighting it was Dead. So I pick it up thinking I would toss it up the bank for the raccoons to have and evening meal. What I had actually was one of the biggest lures I have ever seen for fishing in A small reservoir like bon Tempe. The biggest fish in that reservoir would more than likely be a large mouth bass probably not more then five or six pounds.
Whoever was using it most of had a lot of expectation for Moby Dick or A Great White shark, here are some photos of it.

I have not been fishing much last few months. I have been tied up in clearing out my home and getting it on the market. Not what I wanted.

I used to Fish a lot at Bon Tempe reservoir just a few minutes from my old home. Currently I'm living in Novato and the reservoirs closest to me now are Nicasio reservoir and Stafford Lake when I am it Able to fish again.

After all the work I did getting out of my old home and the sudden Cold temperatures here in Marin County an old injury to my right knee has me not moving too fast and in a fair amount of pain.

I did however make sure that my fishing equipment Is easy to get to in my storage room, so hopefully I Will be able to get out soon to do some fishing.

And spirit my favorite color it Is purple thank you for the invite.

A Veteran - Whether Active duty, Discharged, Retired, or Reserve - Is someone who at one point in his life

wrote a blank check made payable to THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, for an amount of "UP TO, AND

INCLUDING HIS LIFE".

THAT IS HONOR.

And there are way too many people in this country today, who no longer understand that fact.

For the Marines out there happy birthday November 10 semper Fi.

And for all veterans have tight lines on November 11.

It's an honor for me to be apart of this Club.

I saw a Gene Autry Horse Opera a few years back and Smiley Burnette was driving A team of horses with a small House in tow.

First of all I would like to say I'm sorry for your loss. Every time I hear of brothers in arms dying it reminds me of The Marines that we're lost during my time in Vietnam.
Bravo1/4 1965-1966.
Hopefully to be informative to those who do not know each star the Vietnam ribbon stands for and operation that a marine what's on (I was on for different operations during my tour of duty), They could last for a month or longer.
So please excuse me if I seen a little off at times. Just writing this has me shaking inside and fighting back tears.

First off I would like to say sorry to y'all for disappearing from this thread that I started.
As I mentioned in an earlier thread that I have cancer to be specific it is cll Chronic lymphocytic leukemia from agent Orange exposure. instead of having to go do chemo again my oncologist at the VA put me on a new med so I can avoid chemo. However this new med has a few Side effects the biggest one for me is that I get very dizzy and find it very difficult to walk and think and above all wright coherently, (Vietnam just keeps on giving and giving) I have lived with this for 12 years now. Most of the time I do well and have been able to live a fairly normal Life. All of this is with me trying to move from a home that I have lived in for 30 years now. Too hard for me to keep up with the maintenance here.

I originally started this thread with a thought of getting a new float tube That would be easier to get in and out of. I'm not sure all of that really matters now sense most of California is on fire. The air here in the bay area is so bad that unless I absolutely have to I do not go outside.
I am hoping that at some point all the smoke disappears and I can at least do some Bank fishing.

I was turned on to tube fishing in 1991 by a fly fishing Guide in Montana.
My question is how many tube fish here and what kind of tube do you use.
Also since my tube is very old and hard to get in and out of when I need to pee, I was wondering what brand would you recommend.

I retired from teaching auto mechanics for 20 years in 2003. We got a new department chair who know nothing about auto mechanics and told me since he had a PHD he knew more about teaching then me. Needless to say I told him where he could stick it. I was 55 and tired of all the back biting.
From there I work at a horse ranch in West Marin as a wrangler, trainer and trail guide for another 15 years. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2008 due to exposure to agent orange. I finally left when it just became too difficult for me to continue and I really miss it.
A little aside about my horse knowledge, my grandfather who was born in Eagle Pass Texas in 1872 and had horses until he got too damned old as he would phrase it.
These days I fish as often as I can but not as much as I would like. I am currently moving out of my home to sell and I want to go back to the Sierras and hopefully get a new home in grizzly Flats.
