That's some serious shine on that truck. What do you use?

Very nice William and Penny. Great first catch. I agree the 18" long are better eating. Was the length on that larger one, 24"?

Surely it's not that green there this early in the year?

Sorry about your rough day BadBobby. It'll make for a good chuckle or 3 down the road a piece. Better days around the bend.

Getting mine ready for a trip to Texas. Have been finding a few crappie. Haven't tried for wallys yet. A little cool yet.

Get up knuckleheads. It's Thursday. Rain with thunderstorms this morning. High 68.

A friend a mine got divorced. He split everything with his wife 50/50. She got the house. He got the outside.

Some rough weather in the states around TN. Hopefully, FS folks got through it okay. Have a good one clones and assorted ding dongs.

Well that's the better end of the deal in the long run anyway.
Rain yesterday shifting to platter sized snow flakes late evening. Gusty winds over night but all is well this morning. Snow is gone, winds have calmed (for now) and got about 2 1/2" of needed moisture.

I guess when it disrupts relationships. Best to involve them and be involved with what they enjoy too.

Currently 39° & clear headed to 62° this afternoon. Hopefully the wind won't come up too much. Going with one of my grandsons late morning to fish up some LM bass and crappie. Rain with a slight chance for light snow tonight.

I certainly wish they would pick one and stay there. My sleeping routine is so delicate that just one hour throws me for a couple of weeks.

Well in my experience worms are a staple. Sun fish, fresh water drum and crappie love them. I catch most of my walleye and sauger with worms and a jig head. I don't cut or pinch the worms for larger fish just hook them twice with one twirl around the hook shank. Most pan fish only need 1/3 of a worm. I rinse my hands in the water I fish in. Make sure you leave that worm enough length to move and wiggle.

Reel in and don't "set" the hook like you have done for the past several decades. Took me 2 days to get used to not setting the hook but once I got past that they work very well.

Have a great time DT and capture some special moments to share. A lot of very jagged and unforgiving coastline along that area. Be safe!
